getmeinrn··on Ancient Carthaginians did sacrifice their children (2014)
Yes that's why it being supported by physical evidence, which it appears to be, is so important.
getmeinrn··on A new CEO says employees can’t work remotely after all, and they revolt
>for “collaboration, creativity and innovation.”

Ok, I get the first one to an extent, but why does an insurance company depend heavily on "creativity" and "innovation." I thought insurance is a pretty straightforward numbers game.

They mention it was documented by the Greeks & Romans, but was dismissed at the time as politically motivated slander. Those records plus physical evidence give it more weight, so I say the former is more likely.
getmeinrn··on US urged to reveal UFO evidence after claim that it has intact alien vehicles
That story is below the fold, as a small subsection on CNN.com. Their current major top story is "New York City’s air pollution among the worst in the world." It's clearly a slow news day.

"UFO/aliens" as in, extraterrestrial spacecraft, X-Files bs
getmeinrn··on US urged to reveal UFO evidence after claim that it has intact alien vehicles
When was the last time a UFO/aliens story was competing for air time with a major real world news event (disaster, protest, shooting, terrorist, election, etc)?

The "omg aliens" media card always seems to get pulled out when there's no $CURRENT_OUTRAGE and people are looking for something. It's like filler content when there's nothing else to rile people up.
getmeinrn··on Apple Vision Pro: Apple’s first spatial computer
Have you purchased a headset before? If so, what has been your experience, if not, why not?
getmeinrn··on Apple Vision Pro: Apple’s first spatial computer
Calling it now, the failure of this Apple product is going to be a big turning point for the company. Apple is supposed to be the company that sets trends, but instead they're following Meta down a path that has now shown to be a dead end, and no amount of aesthetics or marketing can prevent it.
getmeinrn··on OpenAI's plans according to Sam Altman removed at OpenAI's request
Any lawyers know if this opens them up for legal action if they kill a business in this manner after a public statement like this? It must, if this is the reason they requested the removal, otherwise why would they tip their hand about what they intend to do in the future? And not to mention it makes developers even more concerned. They could have just let the lie alone, instead of drawing attention to it.

Surely they have the self-awareness to see how poorly this reflects on their brand?
getmeinrn··on Automatic emergency braking should become mandatory, feds say
I've always wondered why brakes don't have a variable brightness based on how hard the driver is braking. If you've ever been behind someone who has braked hard, part of the danger is not realizing just how fast they're stopping.
