EU is a nightmare for any startup. Instead of developing new products, you have to spend >50% of your time just to comply with all those laws. and it keeps coming. Soon, every company will also be required to build copyright filter for all uploaded media files (content-id)...
I prefer to use .NET Core / C#. It is very fast, async, cross-platform, open source and unlike GO, it is a high level programming language. One disadvantage is that compilation time is not as fast as with GO, but it was improved over the last years.
No country is worse than Germany for software developers. Even the guy from India in this thread earns 2-3x more than usual senior salary in Germany, but expenses are 10x higher here. I really hate this country.
