I'm afraid some crime syndicates have found out they can just steal it from hospitals, some 80 vials went missing from the ospedale israelitico in Rome during the summer and there are already reports of an increase of users in the outskirts of the city..

Been doing this for decades, not weird at all

Only thing that runs easily on termux now that gemini-cli has been discontinued..

For a worthy goal .. linux on esp would be a game changer for iot imho

Try the motion Linux package, it can connect to tapos over SDP and then you can run Yolo or any other solution on the output

Let me remind you that launching nuclear weapons close to your border is an issue, launching them half a continent away not so much.

Came here to say this, absolute best blog typography in the last 30 yrs

Very nice. One feature id like to see is import of stem bundles as produced by various tools like suno or stemsplitter

same thing happens in italy

Strongly agree, frequency may be the enemy of quality

Kind of funny coming from people who levy taxes on tobacco products all the time

Some "developed" countries are not much better in that regard

Installed on raspbian, works wonders, much better than the thing i vibecoded yesterday. One feature I'd like: recording new arrivals to a log with all the info so it can be used as a barebones IDS

It was The original brushed metal computer.

Universal Basic Tokens allowance?

It is actually incentivized in some cases

This is already happening in a number of countries in some way or another

TFA mentions "european governments" but this legislation is proposed by a bunch of european members of parliament who in no way represent any governments and much less the commission or the union. In short it tries to depict a group of old farts as an overreaching snooping authority.

I wonder who could have a vested interest in depicting the EU as a repressive regime...

A relative got a sony google tv and it is utter crap. No browser? I'll stick to fire sticks

This also happens in Italy, there's a maximum number of people who can get into med school. However, even though some complain of being overworked, some others complain that increasing that maximum number will lead to unemployment. So apparently medical professionals can either be overworked or unemployed, there is no in between..

I've had some success with Motion (in that i have pictures of a dude ski mask wearing dude looking around the house), which is also open source C (++? no idea). I will look into this but my impression is that work on the edge is done already and what is really needed is some sort of central processor that runs YOLO on several streams

Lots of other interesting projects on the author's site, check them out

I take it you dislike Escher as well then

I would add a bottom status bar so you can give immediate feedback when launching a new viewer. The initial lag was so long i ended up starting the same stream 3 times because i was unsure the click had registered.

it needs to be said that web dev is by far the area in which LLMs are more versed , i suppose due to the incredible amount of training data available. Other languages produce more allucinations for now.

It's worse than bad, I have seen betting ads and placement in content that regular advertisers would not touch with a 10 feet pole, e.g. in pirated broadcasts

they can be credited with inventing e-commerce imho...

Had the backpack problem for some time... my current fix is a bash script that goes

while true; do pm-suspend; sleep 12; done

I just ctrl-c it when i need to use it and then restart it when i am done. Dirty but it works..

came here to say this... it was glimpse of the future

i used to think amazon's search ux was terrible.... then i tried aliexpress and temu
