96 is not reflecting my age, I'm in my early 30s

I'm an SWE primarily web side, though I do work in mobile too and I dabble in hardware on my spare time

Currently working in an innovation team as a hardware person but lately we've been developing agentic stuff

ge96··on How to build a printer
I did open the thread and didn't see an actual printer shown except the e-ink device but aside from that, I hate printers buy a cartridge it's empty after 3 prints wtf... now I just go walk into some store like Walgreens to print stuff

If you like e-ink device reviews this is an artsy channel think small leather notebooks https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-oOqFUuULOk

For me my favorite is the RM2 but I keep selling/buying it back due to poor financial decisions but I love how it writes and long battery, plus hackable, never paid for a subscription. It is an extra device too so unfortunately not used that often I spend most of my time in front of a desktop but have multiple laptops too/drawing tablets.

ge96··on RotaryCell: Making an unmodified rotary phone work over LTE with an ESP32-S3

ge96··on Reverse engineering my ADHD test
I feel like I would have been a different person if I was diagnosed. Probably finished my physics/aero degree. But idk... I would buy it and it was fun to do recreationally which supposedly means you don't have ADHD. Anyway I ended up not finishing school but I got lucky that I still became an SWE.

People would say "just ask for it" but I remember having to try and do these tests like look at these abstract shapes and what not. It was multiple sessions I eventually ran out of insurance so yeah I just abandoned it. I don't like the side effect of shrinkage down there when you're on uppers.

That's crazy I remember doing work on there a long time ago. It was sus work like manipulating Google SEO rank by looking up and clicking links. But still it was real money even if it was pennies.

I think the weirdest thing I had to do was scan through social media images... so weird seeing into random people's lives.

I did it in the late 2000s or early 2010s.

oh yeah I definitely have some flavor of ADHD, I'm not medicated so I just use music (looping a song or album over and over). Thankfully I have a chill job now where I don't have to get much work done, kind of coasting lately.

Currently trying to figure out the right kind of caffeine intake, seems hot chocolate might be my jam vs. coffee. I'm lucky we have a gym at work so I work out first 30 minutes of the day helps and do walks.

I have to grind on the side though to get out as I have $100K in debt. That six fig day job still means I'm check to check.
