I have decided to build LiveDemo initially as a chrome application that records all chrome application backend requests and then is able to replay them on demand to re-create the recorded application 1-to-1.

Unfortunately that didn't work well, since it worked very well for simple SaaS applications but for more complex WS applications it didn't work.

I have pivoted to capturing screenshots, videos and webpages to create the livedemo as a combination of screens.

It took me 1.5 years
