gaanbal··on Vibe coding and agentic engineering are getting closer than I'd like
if you've never had the experience of handing something off to someone else being more laborious and slower than doing it yourself due to having to set constraints and define success, then you simply haven't held a senior enough position to comment on this with any authority

coffee, even without caffeine, contains so much antioxidants, you can sort of imagine the coffee bean as carrying the antioxidant burden of the entire world on its back
gaanbal··on Ask HN: How Do You Journal?
I set a timer for 4 minutes and then I let my hand write things until the timer goes off.

sometimes I feel like writing more, and I let myself

sometimes I have nothing left to write (rare lol) and I simply write down that I don't have anything else

gaanbal··on Traefik's 10-year anniversary
I primarily use it outside containers on EC2, works exactly the same as it does in a container

gaanbal··on Qantas is cutting executive bonuses after data breach
when you're making 6 million a year, a 250k cut is inconsequential
