fuzzythinker··on Show HN: Pac-Bench – How well can models one-shot a Pac-Man game?
Hope this gives a speck of encouragement. Just want to call out how I love the clarity in Three.js Resources, in readability, design, and answering why. Eg. https://threejsresources.com/tsl
fuzzythinker··on Windows 11½
Lol, in Calc, 6x3 = NaN, 1+1 = AI credits required
fuzzythinker··on Minimal Phone 2
Is this what HN has became? 22 hours, 200 comments and not a single positive one. I love it. Great classy look and feel. Well throughout keys for swipe. This is likely my next phone. Only wish is a better camera. Maybe MP03 will improve on that.
fuzzythinker··on The AI bubble is popping; we just don't know it yet
majority of population? I'll take that bet

I'll even bet < majority of the US

fuzzythinker··on The End of Creativity
If someone says "if a friend used ai to make me a gift like in TFA, I'd be pretty offended" and not spell out what TFA means and make me ask ai, I'll be shaking my head
fuzzythinker··on Show HN: 18 Words
Many option to have a set time (best if selectable, 30, 45, 60 - hard/med/easy) per word, and a set time per game - 6, 8, 10 (hard/med/easy) minutes
fuzzythinker··on We charge $10k a week to delete AI-generated code
How do you tell if the bug was your responsibility vs. something they changed after?
fuzzythinker··on 30papers.com – Ilya's 30 essential ML papers, in a beginner friendly format
Yes, I expected annotations, so please add. I know you named the site 30 papers, but I don't think anyone will hold you to it if you add more papers to it as you read and annotate more, or allow others to do so.
fuzzythinker··on How do wombats poop cubes?

fuzzythinker··on How does a pull-back car work? Illustrated teardown
For a site that's named mechanical pencil, its mechanical pencil page is too simple. It should add the shake mechanical pencil and the rotating mechanical pencil where the tip rotates 40 deg or so on every click next.
fuzzythinker··on Why does paper fold so well?
Shameless plug - https://foldmation.com

Big backlog of folds to approve seems like it's ignored. I'm in the middle of fixing some rendering issues hence I haven't approve them yet. Rendering fixes and fold approvals should be up in a few weeks.

fuzzythinker··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (June 2026)
Same post was just asked yesterday https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=48514461
fuzzythinker··on WWDC 2026: Apple is Folding
Try the RAZR style folding phones. It trades length for thickness which is a godsend for me. I hate how unpocketable phones has been ever since like 10 years ago.
fuzzythinker··on Nvidia partners with LG robotics to build humanoid robots in South Korea
A carrier bot can be parked near the stairs to transport the bot to different floors
fuzzythinker··on Squares in Squares
Page doesn't say, but I'm guessing with help from AI
fuzzythinker··on Japan’s robot wolf sells out as record bear attacks drive demand
The face and eyes with the chainsaw looks so satire. Is that how you got the name? Hope you are getting enough sales as it does look useful.
fuzzythinker··on Tesla reveals two Robotaxi crashes involving teleoperators
90ms is absolutely not an acceptable delay. On a 25mph road, each 90ms is .0006 mile ~= 1 meter. Latency goes both ways, so that is a possible 1 meter before operator reacts and another meter before the corrective action takes place. Like other comment mentioned, remote operations can only be used for high-level instructions (or simpler highway driving).
fuzzythinker··on Idempotency is easy until the second request is different
Thank you, like and agree with the rest of the rules
fuzzythinker··on The Joy of Folding Bikes
Can you explain what makes the Brompton design genius?

Edit: the top comment (at this time) has a youtube link that shows it fold/unfold in like 8 secs. I can see the genius in it now

fuzzythinker··on Do I belong in tech anymore?
"No friction no shine" is easier to remember and get since it's analogous to "no pain no gain"
fuzzythinker··on A 3D Body from Eight Questions – No Photo, No GPU
I read it as "ai, don't read"
fuzzythinker··on The purist's guide to phở in Hanoi
Click on Mama Kitchen 1 and it shows google map of it in Iceland! Was totally expecting it in the US (as 2 is) or in Vietnam
fuzzythinker··on Helium is hard to replace
Good vid. To readers - note that the playlist has other compositions
fuzzythinker··on Maxell MXCP-P100 – wireless cassette player
The Available HERE button doesn't work for me.
fuzzythinker··on AI coding is gambling
No. Addiction for the mass comes from instant gratification. The outcome from developers takes too long for instant gratification to take into effect. So overseeing developers is not a form of gambling.
fuzzythinker··on Block the “Upgrade to Tahoe” alerts
Comments here paints Tahoe very poorly, and I trust comments here on this topic. This is very bad for Apple as OS from new Macs can not be downgraded and customers like myself will either delay purchases til hopefully next OS fix these issues (not having high hopes) or buy in the 2nd hand market for older OS.
fuzzythinker··on Show HN: Decided to play god this morning, so I built an agent civilisation

fuzzythinker··on Discord Alternatives, Ranked
Can't take the list seriously when functionality is just 1 of the 5 weights. Like I don't care how good or bad the other weights are but if search and UI is broken, I won't be using it unless I'm forced to.
fuzzythinker··on I spent 5 years in DevOps – Solutions engineering gave me what I was missing
Even more gems than the previous post!
