It's an overcorrection for years of western arrogance being expressed in the past decade+. I think most people have woken up by now to the reality of Chinese manufacturing dominance and what that implies, at least those in power and journalists.
Or maybe they realize the AI needs humans in the loop for the foreseeable future for enterprise use cases and juniors (and people from LCL areas) are cheaper and make the economics make some sort of sense.
Yeah I just took it away from her and she no longer lashes out at me like a crack addict trying to bargain for her fix, that's been a much better move for both of us I've found.
My kid found work arounds for that. For example she reset the ipad's clock to give herself more time. It really is like a drug to these children and they will lash out at you if you take it away.
A lucky break for Tesla, which is now a check notes robotics company. If it had been a success it would have taken their attention away from innovation in a truly profitable business space and they'd just be a car company.
This is how VC and on some level professional success always worked. Gotta be in the right place, knowing the right people, at the right time. Although the scale and speed is more absurd.

I'm under the impression the massive volume of buying/selling every day is institutional, and institutional investors/hedge funds are the ones constantly adjusting based on how data moves.
He has no idea, I'm guessing it's wishful thinking, likely from a political partisan, or someone with a lot of dry powder trying to enter the stock market after a correction.
This became clear to US leadership after COVID at the latest on both sides of the aisle. No coherent strategy (see how the Chips act has morphed into the US nationalizing 10% of intel) to deal with it.
