fuj··on Ask HN: Travel opportunities for software developers?
How do you handle your taxes?
fuj··on Ads are disgusting.
Are you willing to pay for every website you visit? Oh yeah, you don't think you should pay for anything. Somehow money goes on trees for the websites owners, how dare they try to monetize their investments!
fuj··on We need a “/heartbleed.txt” standard, and we need it ASAP
Basically, make everything easier for script kiddies by decreasing the amount of time they take to scan a host for the vulnerability. Weighting the pros and cons... the cons completely crush this idea.
fuj··on Sharp Develop – Open Source Alternative to Visual Studio
This is nice, but no... it will never replace VS. I'm sorry if I sound arrogant, but if anyone disagrees than they either never used VS or don't know its potential. I'm no MS fanboy, but VS is simply the best IDE.
fuj··on Ask HN: How do I deal with the "unpaid overtime crowd"?
Just.. leave. I know it's easier said than done but, I've been in a similar situation. No money in the world pays the stress you're going through.
fuj··on Ask HN: how do you commercialize something like 2048?
Well, he could put ads on the page but most of the target audience would be using some sort of adblocker. Which brings another question... aren't people overly sensitive to the display of ads? They want good quality content, but don't want to pay for that same content and at the same time block the author's alternative of not charging for it (by using ads) I would understand if we were still in the 90's and there were pop-ups everywhere, but nowadays I find most of the ads non-obtrusive.

Sorry I went off-topic. Another way to monetize would be to make an app out of it for the mobile devices.

fuj··on Ask HN: Why do ATMs run on Windows?
Why wouldn't they run windows? I don't get all this drama with ATM's and XP. They are (should be) physically secure, meaning no usb ports available, cd-rom, no public network. THey are completely locked down. Many of them are still running windows95 and they seem to work pretty well.

What would you recommend then? Mac? Linux?

fuj··on Building and modifying Linux Kernel with Visual Studio
This is amazing. It's not even that expensive
fuj··on Ask HN: Why do people use email newsletters instead of RSS?
Do you want the harsh true?

... .... Step out of your bubble and you will see no one uses RSS

fuj··on Schadenfreude
> and implemented in PHP!

Stop reading after that. For the millionth time, the problem is not in the language but on the programmer. So if it was made, by the same person, in RoR or <insert hipster language that makes your panties wet> it wouldn't suck?

fuj··on Ask HN: Given the price and the MtGox news, is now a good time to buy bitcoins?
I sold a few coins yesterday. I think the worse is yet to come
fuj··on Startup Idea: The Best Way to Buy Furniture – Would You Use This?
No offence, but how is this a "startup" ? Seems like everything is a startup nowadays. You make an app - startup. You make a website - startup. It just seems it crawls known furniture websites and displays it in a nice way. Useful? Maybe. Is it a startup? I don't think so. But who knows, lately in HN everything is a startup and everyone is "hacking".
fuj··on How I Lost My $50,000 Twitter Username
This wasn't paypal's fault. I mean entirely. The problem was with goDaddy. The last 4 digits of credit cards show's up everywhere. Check your receipts. Related question in stackexchange: http://security.stackexchange.com/questions/37758/safety-of-...

GoDaddy should not use the 4 last digits as a way to confirm identity, exactly for the reason I mentioned above

fuj··on Where should I start learning Assembly?
x86 ? This should get you started: http://www.asmcommunity.net/
fuj··on Open-Source Remote Desktop via HTTP
I have made a solution for a client sometime ago that, among other features, allowed him to connect to a vnc server from his browser without any plugin, just with HTML5\JS. If there was a lot of interest, that could be modified to provide some similar features as logmein
fuj··on I have no reason to click on a Medium link
Seriously? No one is asking you to memorize a link. You see the anchor text and you click on it if you like it. How hard is it? You just took nitpicking to a different level.
fuj··on [Ask HN] What do you think of indian developers?
Honestly? Awful. I know I know I shouldn't generalize, but then again you asked my opinion. So, let me explain. I work as freelance developer, 25% of my work is "fixing" Indian outsourced code. By fixing, I mean, rewriting the entire code an charging more than my normal rate.

I guess that happens when you are cheap and not only limited to Indians, but to be honest, every time I have to "fix" outsourced code, it's from India.

fuj··on PayPal Hacked? No, phising just got more sophisticated
No offense, but if you got a phishing email from a paypal smtp server than that is more important than the PSA of your last paragraphs. Report it to paypal asap.
fuj··on Ask HN: Has anyone created a bitcoin mining env. in MS Azure
...Read the previous answers. It is simply not profitable. CPU mining is not profitable at all, GPU mining is almost if not already unprofitable. Even most ASICs can't break even like trafficlight said.
fuj··on Ask HN: Working for 100% equity and no salary
2) Is this a stupid option as a developer?

It will most likely go bust. 10% of 0 is zero. Leave.

fuj··on Show HN: Live Bitcoin Transactions from around the globe in WebGL
There is a problem with the Access-Control-Allow-Origin
fuj··on Ask HN: I actually need a job now
HN hates a lot of stuff. Most of the people here are out of touch with reality. I see a lot of "entrepreneurs" whose startups didn't go so well, or people working in a super cool stack for peanuts, but hey! they get to work on all those cool languages.

Don't mean to sound harsh but... Suck it up. I work with C# ASP.NET. Do I like it? No. Do I hate it? No Does it get the job done (performance wise)? Sure does. Would I prefer to work on another language? Yup. Does it pay well? Yup.

If you are a good programmer it does not matter the language you work on. I know a lot of sucky RoR, python, [insert cool language here] developers and I also know a lot of great PHP, ASP.NET, [insert HN hated kanguage here] programmers. As long as you are a good logic thinker, work on whatever puts the food in the table and hopefully enjoy it.

fuj··on Ask HN: Is C++ still worth learning?
If you ask that, then no, it is not worth learning for you.
fuj··on I will do 5 hours of web programming for you, for 1 bitcoin.
Let me guess... you have 5h free today and you want to get into bitcoin. Am I right?
fuj··on Why didn't the White House use WordPress?
I'm not familiar with this news agency(?) Is he being serious or is this an onion style report?
fuj··on If C++ is so bad, what should game developers use?
Who said C++ is bad?
