fuddle··on SeaweedFS fast distributed storage system for blobs, objects, files and datalake
Is it compatible with OpenStack?
fuddle··on Show HN: Twine – Open source multiplatform RSS app
I think you should be more specific what multiplatform means in the project description. i.e iOS and Android
fuddle··on Kagi search reached 20k paying members
The t-shirt doesn't have their name on it. I don't see how it will help spread their brand.
fuddle··on Brex Layoffs
$263.42K for an entry level position, wow.
fuddle··on Should I open source my company? (2022)
I'm not sure if an MIT license is sustainable long term. I see most open source companies adapt AGPL, open core or source available licenses.
fuddle··on Should I open source my company? (2022)
Officially, it's open source as long as "the code is released under a license in which the copyright holder grants users the rights to use, study, change, and distribute the software and its source code to anyone and for any purpose".
fuddle··on Show HN: Voxos.ai – An Open-Source Desktop Voice Assistant
A demo would be useful.
fuddle··on Show HN: Privy - Open-source, privacy oriented alternative to GitHub Copilot
They should include the original copyright notice in their version of the software according to your license.
fuddle··on Hertz to sell 20k EVs in shift back to gas-powered cars
Obligatory: "Yes the planet got destroyed. But for a beautiful moment in time we created a lot of value for shareholders." https://www.newyorker.com/cartoon/a16995
fuddle··on Metahead – An enterprise-grade, Git-based metarepo
Thanks for the explanation, that helps a bit. I still think a video explainer would be helpful. :)
fuddle··on Metahead – An enterprise-grade, Git-based metarepo
As someone who's never heard of a metarepo before, I'm still not sure exactly what it is or why I should use it after reading their landing page. I think a metarepo explainer video would helpful.
fuddle··on I quit my job to work full time on my open source project
I'd be interested to hear how you plan to approach licensing for the premium hosted features?
fuddle··on How to make LLMs go fast
Thanks for the blog post, I also enjoyed their previous post on making a transformer by hand: https://vgel.me/posts/handmade-transformer/
fuddle··on Open and portable Postgres-as-a-service. Also available on Hetzner
Looks great. It would be useful to have a wiki page about the Elastic V2 license. e.g https://www.elastic.co/licensing/elastic-license/faq FYI the first link to your license is broken on this page: https://www.ubicloud.com/docs/about/terms-of-service
fuddle··on Bash one-liners for LLMs
I think the blog post would be a lot easier to read if the code blocks had a background or a different text color.
fuddle··on A new old kind of R&D lab
I'm looking forward to seeing what what projects you work on at Answer.ai! I'm a big fan of your fast.ai courses and all the work you've done in the AI industry.

Oh man, I'm not looking forward to Microsoft AGI.
fuddle··on TrasHTTPandas – Trash Panda HTTP Responses
This is so cool :)
fuddle··on Amazon will cut 'several hundred' Alexa jobs as it ends unspecified initiatives
Considering how cheap they sell their home smart speakers, I can't imagine it's a very profitable division.
fuddle··on Phind Model beats GPT-4 at coding, with GPT-3.5 speed and 16k context
Your About page is really lacking in detail. https://www.phind.com/about I wouldn't feel comfortable using your service without a lot more detail about the founders and company etc.
fuddle··on The Cloud Computer
Do they support GPU's?
fuddle··on The Open Source GraphHopper Routing Engine 8.0 Released
Ideally it would factor in battery charge levels at departure, ideal charging stations along the route, the time to needed to recharge the battery at charging stations along the route and arrive at the destination with enough battery. A custom model may be necessary, but with the world transitioning to EV's it may be worth integrating it into GraphHopper as a profile in the future.
fuddle··on The Open Source GraphHopper Routing Engine 8.0 Released
Is there any plans to support EV routing?
fuddle··on Another Text to Speech API
"Ultrarealistic AI Voice Generator" - I initially read the title as "Unrealistic AI Voice Generator". I'd suggest adding a space to "Ultrarealistic".
fuddle··on Show HN: Rapidpages – OSS alternative to vercel's v0
This is great, I'd love to see an explainer in the readme of how it works with OpenAI.
fuddle··on Zep: Fast, scalable building blocks for production LLM apps
The video in the github repo is very helpful. I think it needs an example of what can be built with Zep though, not just the features.
fuddle··on Update on KDP Title Creation Limits
