fub4r··on Ask HN: What do you think of self-promotion on HN?
Most submissions are probably good but I guess only a small percentage of users click the new link, and then they can only read a small percentage of submissions and up vote only an even smaller percentage of those. It would be easy for a great submission to fall through the cracks.
fub4r··on PG on nonprofits/Darfur

fub4r··on Ask YC: Do any of you find yourself reading comments before the actual link?
I'm about half and half. I look for the submitter, if they usually submit good stuff, or if I recognize the source I'll usually click straight to the article. Otherwise I just read the comments.
fub4r··on Ask YC: Outsourced sysadmin?
Have you considered partnering with someone who does managed hosting? It's not unheard of for startups to get a contra deal.
fub4r··on Hiroshima: The Lost Photographs
That will learn me to only look at the pictures...
fub4r··on Fast Food: Just Another Name for Corn
If I read the article correctly it pretty much says that you can distinguish the meat of a free-range cow from one that ate nothing but corn.
fub4r··on Japan loves Apple, sales up there 39%
Used to be that both Japanese and Koreans preferred their products with complex feature sets - Apple are notable for what they leave out - perhaps this signals a change of heart for Japanese consumers?
fub4r··on Hiroshima: The Lost Photographs
I wonder if the person that threw them away didn't know what they were or knew what they were, but didn't comprehend the value of the photographs.
