frosting1337··on Speedrunners are vulnerability researchers, they just don't know it yet
Vulnerability research, in my experience, has been pretty collaborative and open - especially in the bug bounty space.
frosting1337··on Framework's first desktop is a strange–but unique–mini ITX gaming PC
It kind of is, and the CEO admits it on stage, but it's soldered because of an AMD limitation they couldn't work around.
frosting1337··on Framework's first desktop is a strange–but unique–mini ITX gaming PC
Except, you know, the entire dynamic functionality of purchasing everything. Taht can't be cached.
frosting1337··on OpenAI says it has evidence DeepSeek used its model to train competitor
Same in Australia. Xiaomi phones less so.
frosting1337··on Google open-sources the Pebble OS
What do you mean? Pebble was dead before Google ever bought Fitbit.
frosting1337··on Reverse engineering Call of Duty anti-cheat
https://pwn.college is a great educational resource.
frosting1337··on Why was there a wall near runway at S Korea plane crash airport?
> Tell her she is wrong. It's an international airport with commercial traffic. 11th most busiest airport in the country.

It's... a tiny airport, both by commercial standards and by South Korean standards.

Pretty sure you're just trolling though, no way this is a serious comment.

frosting1337··on London's 850-year-old food markets to close
Except the article states the move to Dagenham has been "dropped".
frosting1337··on Nintendo Files Suit for Infringement of Patent Rights Against Pocketpair, Inc
"Now with Nintendo in short of revenue and late with a new platform for Christmas with their stock taking a beating, I guess this is how they'll make up some difference and feed their wild herd of lawyers hungry for some action in the mean time."

Mate, Nintendo aren't worried. They have enough money to operate at a a loss for decades without sweating. They're still selling Nintendo Switches by the millions.

frosting1337··on Nintendo Files Suit for Infringement of Patent Rights Against Pocketpair, Inc
Yeah, they definitely are, which would be why Nintendo has taken so long.
frosting1337··on Nintendo Files Suit for Infringement of Patent Rights Against Pocketpair, Inc
Is it litigious if they're enforcing their own patents? They didn't immediately go after Palworld for copyright infringement, but dug deep and seemingly found something in violation of their own patents lol
frosting1337··on We spent $20 to achieve RCE and accidentally became the admins of .mobi
For whatever it's worth, subdomain takeovers are also a thing and bug bounty hunters have been exploiting it for years.
frosting1337··on Australian employees now have the right to ignore work emails, calls after hours
A lot of companies here are pretty good. It's the ones that aren't that necessitate the law change.

My workplace, for instance, published the formal policy last week and the accompanying announcement was honestly bordering on anger about it. My team is pretty good, but other teams have been having to work out of hours. It's a good change.

frosting1337··on Zen, a Arc-like open-source browser based on the Firefox engine
While I agree that develops really only care for Chromium compatability, I've not really noticed any issues with Firefox, except with Google sites every now and then (YouTube in particular).
frosting1337··on Go 1.23 Released
I'm not really understanding the logic here, but you do you bud.
frosting1337··on Pixel Watch 3
I get more comments on my Casio A159WGEA than the dozen other "nice" watches I own.
frosting1337··on Ozempic is changing people's skin, say plastic surgeons
Liposuction is incredibly profitable for plastic surgeons worldwide.
frosting1337··on Go 1.23 Released
But it is now, and that's good and should be applauded.
frosting1337··on Firefox Sidebar and Vertical tabs: try them out
I'm glad they released it, I like vertical tabs.
frosting1337··on Omakub – A Developer Setup for Ubuntu
I think he honestly just found Alacritty first.
frosting1337··on Omakub – A Developer Setup for Ubuntu
Well, you run it on a fresh install, so it's not like you'll have any data worth keeping.
frosting1337··on Gaining kernel code execution on an MTE-enabled Pixel 8
Wow, that's just absolutely incorrect. Ignoring that tons of security teams are actually stupidly busy, this person's specific role at GitHub is security research. GitHub have security products for code security, which he ties into.
frosting1337··on How Africans are changing French, one joke, rap and book at a time
I don't think anyone is surprised half a continent speaking French has its own twist on the language. But it is interesting to read about, especially the impact that hip-hop and rap in these countries have had on the dialects, such as calling your boyfriend bread.
frosting1337··on Tesla: Security Vulnerabilities
Nah, they have a bug bounty program, people get paid for their bugs. Probably one of the better things Tesla do is their attitude towards bug hunters.
frosting1337··on Tesla: Security Vulnerabilities
Tesla has a decent bug bounty program - the haters get paid.

Source: I'm a paid hater. :)

frosting1337··on Okta says hackers stole data for all customer support users
And use... who, exactly? Attackers know the identity provider is the foot in the door, so it'll get attacked no matter who you use.
frosting1337··on Tesla sues Swedish state agency over number plate blockage
You realise, of course, that if another company was able to deliver the plates, the same issue would still be occuring thanks to Swedish unions being in solidarity?
frosting1337··on Tesla sues Swedish state agency over number plate blockage
Why not? They're a private company. Isn't that usually what Americans are telling people, that corporations are free to serve who they please?

But, more importantly, PostNord isn't doing anything - it's a unionised group of workers refusing to deliver Tesla products. That's how strikes work, and Musk's go-to course of action is to immediately proceed to legal action rather than negotiating and meeting the union's requirements.
