Assertive = Aggressive + On my Team
You are assertive if the community around you thinks you are justified in asking for your way, and aggressive if they feel you are unjustified. We perceive our allies as assertive and our opponents as aggressive.
The GP is correct that "assertiveness" training gives someone tools which are equally useful in defending against a bully as they are in bullying. It's really just rudimentary influence training in the vein of Carnegie or Cialdini, and people can be influenced for ill just as they can be influenced for good.
I'll give the simple example of a hex-headed nut: how will the software know that the flat-to-flat measurement is critical (since it corresponds to the wrench/spanner needed to drive it) rather than the point-to-point measurement? In less trivial examples, questions like this need to be though out when creating models, and require domain-specific knowledge that a ML model will not have.
Also, many of the US timezones are too far west to begin with. Indianapolis is on Eastern Time, but it is approximately where the middle of Central Time should be. Putting it on permanent DST will make noon 2 hours late.
