frank00001··on Bend – a language that blocks AI mistakes via proof and runs on GPUs
Start printing the t-shirts!
frank00001··on CEO fired developers to make room for AI. Developers create open source AI CEO
This was fun and it will probably produce some nice output, but developers in particular, have a tendency to don´t see the value in being able to inspire and lead people. Being a leader is mainly people work, and AI cannot replace that.
frank00001··on Being ambitious and being a dad
Just have a simple rule. The period from 4pm to 8pm in the week days are holy. No work - no phone. Kids are the top priority.

If you can stick to this you are most likely spending more time with your kids than a normal non-ambitious parent anyways.

frank00001··on Ask HN: Why is the HN crowd so anti-AI?
I think it also has to do with the experience after using AI for a while.

I have decided to leave what has been my workplace for over 15 years - mainly to do other types of work. Why? I stopped thinking in my current job as a system architect and dev. AI output is better or on par with my thinking, and I lost all feeling of achievement in my daily work.

I still want to use my brain, so I will find a job where I can continue to do that.

frank00001··on If AI writes code, should the session be part of the commit?
Sounds like the spec driven approach. You should take a look at this https://github.com/github/spec-kit
frank00001··on The Codex app illustrates the shift left of IDEs and coding GUIs
Clearly written by someone who has no systems of importance in production. If my code fail people loose money, planes halts, cars break down. Read. The. Code.
frank00001··on The Frontend Treadmill
This is why I stopped doing front end.
frank00001··on It's OK to hardcode feature flags
The whole point is to reduce the risk of the deployments by easily managing the flags - often without the need for a developer. Also, using services like Azure App Configuration gives you the possibility to have different distribution based on users, groups, country etc, which is a really useful.

A bit surprised people rolls their own implementation when this is easily available, and not that expensive. At least in Azure.
