fr33k3y··on Claude Opus 5.5
glm5.3-flash is multimodal and I\ve been testing it against opus over the last ~10 days and it does very well at a fraction of the opus price...
fr33k3y··on OpenCode – Open source AI coding agent
I'm testing glm5 on Claude code and opencode just to stop consuming American... Soo good so far!
fr33k3y··on Automatically transcribe an interview, meeting or video
I'm curious about your service, can you explain what's different from similar services like happy scribe for instance?

As it was already said you should make clear which languages are supported.

And I think you should put prices in USD and/or Euros instead of TL (turkish lira), ideally Euro's for european visitors and UDS for the rest of the world. Besides the free tier, if I'm serious about the service I will be less keen to test it out before knowing the cost of it and at first I've seen the price without looking too much and thought it was pretty expensive before understanding it was expressed in TL's.

fr33k3y··on I made a simple geolocation service
Exactly!. I was about to tell a similar story but yours is MUCH better. I run an internal service that just loads (a filtered version of) the maxmind geolite2 db in memory using it's great C library bindings for perl and on top of that I fork (so memory is shared) a mojo server and it's able to serve millons of reqs per hour on a very small vm. Response time is not much more than a "hello world"...
fr33k3y··on Slack’s new WYSIWYG input box is terrible
Not really. You can use their API and implement a client like the ones already mentioned: wee-slack, ripcord, ...
fr33k3y··on Slack’s new WYSIWYG input box is terrible
Oh man!, this guy has just described how I feel about this!. I've been thinking about trying other clients since yesterday...
fr33k3y··on A modest proposal
I would love to have trailing commas in JSON but I can see that being JSON something too widely extended over the internet it's not possible to do it for real as it will break all around. So, what I do is to have my editor to fix this issue as I'm completely unable to stop doing it :-)
fr33k3y··on Vim3D – A new 3D vi clone [video]
Yup... I guess they call it "vim" because key bindings are inspired on vim, but this is just a prove that keyword rocks much harder than any other interface :-)
fr33k3y··on Python module that makes working with XML feel like working with JSON
There is XML::Simple perl module since a century ago and it's ruby "copy" with the same name since long time ago also.

I've used the perl one and it only makes sense in very simple use-cases.
