Especially if the "right" model in the end isn't really compatible with the first, wrong one and you can't afford to mess up the data.
It's worked pretty well for me, at least on Android. The Hangouts replacement for the web client is garbage, though.
There's frequently a setting to configure if it truly closes or not, but it's not usually there for more mass-market targeted apps (death by settings and configuration options to support being the likely cause).
The past was full of a lot more paging to disk and it was awful. I mean, sure, things haven't progressed as much as they could I suppose, but I also don't know the last time I had to wait 5-10 minutes for a computer to shut down.
I'll admit that most of these things (especially no settings) would make it a no-go for me, but I can definitely think of some relatives that I would love to stick on it and then not have to worry about them again.
I'll have to remember to disable it on newsblur.
I mean, it's not intuitively consistent, but basically there are navigation controls with or without having a selection cursor on the main screen (which is usually where the difference is, since navigation and some of the selection keys overlap).
If you look through the keybindings, there are "move selector / cursor" options and then secondary options for all of those, and that's more or less what they map to.
Sounds like compatibility is fine? Honestly, I'm okay with the 360 pad support taking over--Almost every controller had a standard button layout, but with the buttons oddly numbered from controller to controller. Newer controllers all mapping to 360 buttons has simplified everything.
It's sad that my original Logitech DualAction isn't quite as useful, but the newer models have had so many fewer issues when it comes to just using them in a game.
I'm really hesitant to say Firefox gets it "wrong" even if it is inconsistent.
Anyone know what IPv6 adoption is looking like these days? Google is showing like 3% of their connections are native to it [1], which does not look promising.

The actual art is interesting, but ouch.
Which I hate to say as a diehard Pentadactyl user.
Part of the problem, though, is that the guys at Pentadactyl messed with userChrome.css as part of the newest pentadactyl builds, which causes a TON of issues with other addons (especially anything that adds a toolbar). Vimperator doesn't do it, but ew Vimperator, so.
Which I would HOPE is not the case here.
