Who knows how it will be next week.
TouchID is also still sorely missed, and I will die on that hill. I'm on a 2022 SE hoping they change their mind one day. FaceID is a repellent experience.
Just recently, all of them, in-concert, started trying to focus on the lady who stole that Baseball at that game. All they are talking about for the last week. Promoted content, sent directly to people's facebook profiles.
Whether or not I feel nationalist terrorists are running the US government, either way I feel the government shouldn't be working this closely with social media. It's extremely dystopian, and it cheapens everything around it.

I'm not sure if he even knows, but that is almost certainly his tracks they trained on.
Animation rigging, squeezing and bouncing every part of the character to convince the viewer it's alive, but all it's doing is calling computer routines to wobble each part, instead of actually animating the damn character. Everything is shortcuts now.
Recently, I started re-watching Dexter's lab. It's great. No CGI at all, no computer-assisted calarts. Trying to watch anything modern from the same creator, everything is just unbearable to look at. Everything looks like disjointed parts, and screams low-effort. All the flash animators of the 2000s grew up, and they're now running things. And everything just looks like wobbly flash.
There's some shows that did this modern animation style well though. But not many.
So I come to the same conclusion, repetitive low-effort stuff repels people.
Once your requests start to veer away from the direction you wanted (Especially if at-any-point, you transition to Cursor's "Free" mode, and it misunderstands and bulldozes all your previously-working features)
Not only is it harder, the physical stress caused by debugging with AI is something new. It gets some requests so-incredibly-wrong and follows directions totally-contrary, your brain forgets it's talking to a computer, and reacts in a way you would to a person who did all the wrong things here.
Version control has never been so important. I never use cursor without it. And even then, sometimes I just open the client, and a bunch of files changed.
Blockade from what? Flip the script and they're protecting their own. Someone joined a group that protected them. Seems like a good deal to an individual contributor.
But then you got cop unions, who move abusers around and shield people from consequences. But they're different because they're state power with the power to ruin lives at him. So of course they get bad raps.
Not all systems are perfect, not all unions are the same, but the philosophy of them in-general, unions are decidedly better than without for those who benefit from them. That includes the general public who knows their traffic light wasn't put up by a corner-cutting SC who doesn't care what happens to it in 3 months.
You can't even play CS:GO anymore. It was all moved to CS2, with cosmetics as the highest priority.
The hostage map rotation used to be 5 maps, with variety. They've cut it to 2 maps, and are outright neglecting any variety. You can play some other maps but only in private matches.
They even got rid of the very fun drop-in mode where you could do Last man standing in pairs.
It's like they don't even care. I've completely stopped playing since CS2 and I hope they can see the metrics of other long-time gamers who also stopped.
Microsoft ruins everything they touch. They will find a way to ruin Github shortly.
Anyone posting a step-by-step to do a full migration from Github to another provider would get a lot of traffic to their blog in short time.
Thoughts? You must feel conflicted. Since Trump's actions are in violation of this logic.
If dude wasn't fed from a silver spoon, he'd know better and watch his lying mouth.
He gives smoke and mirrors with "I don't take salary" but it's in plain sight he's profiting from his seat, which no other president did at this magnitude in recent times. They made Jimmy sell his peanut farm.
Yes, I'm glad they finally went to 16/18GB for the new processors.
M3 non-pro processors were shipping with 8GB. That was less than a year ago.
>People are still using OG M1 macs because they're still very capable machines.
If precedent holds up, they won't be for long. The 8GB M1s are already dead in enterprise. There's m1 8GB airs out there that are next on the obsolete block. Soon, some basic web browsing + the OS updates will throttle it to barely usable. (Still better life than a Chromebook, but low bar).
On an enterprise level, the 8GB M1s are no longer deployable for us. Add antivirus, a zoom call, slack, mail, calendar, and a few SaaS app tabs, and it's not usable.
Every yearly OS update there's closed-source overhead that's introduced to the users silently. After dealing with macs for 10+ years, it's the one of only things I can rely on.
Old macs work great until you give them updates, or run modern software on them. Or until a few years after they change chip designs.
As for trusting them to maintain the headroom a few years from now, I really doubt it. They will find a way to fill that headroom, they always do. My 16GB M1 pro practically dies trying to run Logic Pro now. All my shiny expensive intel macs of the 2019 series are now basically paperweights. They don't get extra years of good use like the M1 does. They're no longer deployed because they all started having performance issues right-on-schedule. i9, 32GB RAM goes for $400 on Ebay right now. Lower specced models going for ~$200. A huge loss in value and performance.
This is kind of why people start cloning macs in the 90s. They were too expensive straight from the factory.
Prove Musk doesn't has a circle of yesmen, prove he tested cursor (That's a hard one, given the context), and doesn't have a long history of lying.
Shows much more about your eagerness to put someone down who's even a little critical of Musk.
My whole first comment is independent of his billionaire-scale social media driven tantrums, election influence to give himself tax cuts and ads for his cars from the white house lawn, and nazi salutes. But you know, that stuff is just public knowledge and due public criticism doesn't just come out of thin air.
Musk obviously didn't test Cursor, and either got this from his yesmen, or he's just lying unchecked as usual.
Even if just one person installs it, it resets the iteration and can begin again.
Just like malware.
People will put stuff on professional networks forever, but only once you subscribe can you get that stuff real fast over API, can you really start leveraging these people's data at-scale.
All they need is a linkedin account, rocketreach account, and they have literally everything they need to spearphish your entire executive team at their personal cell phones.
