I came here to say the opposite. Running on MacOS 15.7 the original Client uses ~200mb and Fastpotify uses ~500mb playing the same song while being substantially slower when navigating music.

EDIT: I forgot about the Spotify Helper processes - taken into account the original spotify needs ~1GB. However it's still a lot faster than Fastpotify

For sure. I'm from Germany (but with an AC) as well and am always amazed when people tell me that AC makes you sick. Even young people sometimes replicate this "Oh you gotta be careful not to get sick" and would rather be in 30+°C indoors. How come Germans get sick while the rest of the world seems to be doing fine and is even productive during summer (it feels like Germany grinds to a halt during heatwaves).

Aren't they translating to JPG on upload automatically anyways?

because updating a single app via the app store is faster than updating the whole OS. Having a security vulnerability in a browser could be fixed immediately, but having to ship out a whole new OS leaves it open for a while. Especially with users generally being against/too lazy to do OS updates

More like an "ecosystem company".

It's the Hardware, Software and Services in combination. None would work without the other (to reach the scale apple is)

When I click "Get Started" I get greeted with a Github Login button which is kind of ironic

It's very obvious from just reading comments on youtube, instagram etc. It drives people towards extreme right parties and not believing in science anymore..

don't feed the trolls - most of his comments are focussed on how bad Europe or the EU is. Weird.

More and more it seems like we're trying to do a speed run of killing our planet (or rather a planet worth living on).

Thanks, I didn't know that one! Very impressive speed although quality seems very bad

Do you have some reference on what setup you're talking about? I'd like to integrate it into my IDE (cursor/vscode) - are there docs on such a setup?

Can someone try this one? https://gist.github.com/lucasmrdt/4215e483257e1d81e44842eddb...

What would be your suggestion on how to reach his 1.6 million followers to join this movement if he can't use instagram?

Also Americans drive cars that have a much higher probability to kill pedestrians and will go everywhere by car (instead of walking, biking or taking public transport) due to their city architecture.
