In my opinion, experts should be sincerely welcomed to kibbitz on talk pages - not directly in editing articles - with a strong invitation to cite sources other than themselves. This approach, optimistically, will keep bias on the Talk page, and out of articles, and give experts a substantial real and perceived voice, currently lacking.
There's a period, not a semicolon, between the "No problem" clause and the "Skype" clause, weakening the attribution. Because of that, I think the article author may have made that leap. In my opinion, "Skype" is used by sources as simply common parlance for "some kind of secure video conferencing", and the author perhaps unintentionally, and unfortunately provocatively, overemphasized Skype as the literal option to be used. For security, Skype is a touch radioactive, and Microsoft knows it. That's one of their published reasons for centralizing its server architecture. I would expect Congress, and Snowden, to prefer to use something better, and more securely routable.
Underconstrained problem set: no $ figure, class of product, mfg name, or indication of who repaired it. Without any specifics, it's difficult to analyze the manufacturer's response in its true context.

I'm quite annoyed that Google Docs was announced to stop exporting to frequently used formats. I've said it before https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=4577966 "Recentism trashes bidirectional accessibility. Stable standards are not de facto useless." "Stop with the petulant feature gutting. Who are you trying to impress?"
Maybe, maybe not, but it impairs spelling "alcohol."
