OK, I understand the flagship model is huge, It seems to be far from local use.

Anyone did it with a smaller/distilled version, and getting good performance?

European here (French).

The EU and local governments are pissing me off, with their constant mediocrity and will to control (regulate) everything. I think I'm not the only in the tech community, and broader business/entrepreneurial/independent workers.

It feels like there is a political cast constantly trying to assert its power, money and privileges, while the actual management, public services and broader results in comparison to how much the governments taxes are way below par. It feels like a mafia taking "protection" money...

You can use many other models, 4o, Anthropic, Groq's... However, cheaper models from Groq (Llama 3.1, Mistral) tend not to follow instructions so well and the results are a bit off the rails.

For the price to performance. It's cheap and still provides good results, which allows to scale quite well.
