The creator requested an open, live debate to put these claims to rest. They haven't accepted and probably won't.
Luxury handbags? Check the blockchain to confirm it is real.
Need goods transported at a consistent temperature? The blockchain can validate that your shipment did in fact remain (or not) at a certain temperature.
Want to buy a scalped ticket? Scan the QR code and confirm the ticket is usable.
The fee to verify transactions is based on an auction model. Miners will always pick the transactions with the highest fee. If you want your transaction confirmed, you'll increase the fee. Or lower it, because you can afford to wait for it to be confirmed later.
They don't just invest in anyone, they do due diligence, why would they conclude this is even a viable risk taking opportunity if it was easy to see there is no utility in the technology?
I highly suggest you do a little more research. This is a transfer of wealth on scale that I haven't seen in my lifetime.
