It's always funny when the libs can't take what they dish out. Really? Negative points for pointing out the obvious - Obama only stands for what benefits Obama?
Anyone still question what the social outcome of all this will be?: society will frown upon gun ownership, to the extent that people will be ostracized for exercising their second amendment rights. It doesn't matter if this is planned or not, it's the end result that matters.
It's interesting (scary) to see all the anti-biotic resistant diseases on the rise. I wonder how long until the diseases vaccinated against evolve enough to bypass the antibodies produced by the vaccine?
Silly rabbit, there you go thinking again. Did I say they chose? No, I said social, meaning their homosexuality was caused by social pressures instead of biological imperatives. I am sure there are some that 'chose' to be that way, just the majority of them are that way because of imprinting or other social pressures.
Even better: I called one of my classmates a homo sapien, he went to the teacher and complained (he thought it meant he was gay) and the teacher said "you are a homo sapien". Ah, 6th grade, good times.
so you're saying the laws in favor of slavery, and against homosexuality, should have been kept? Because they were the established practice and tradition...
Here's a better idea: require all hospitals and Dr offices to publish fee schedules in a centralized location, allowing the customer to price-shop procedures. Then there would be downward pressure on prices, and you could plan in advance of elective procedures.
way back in the dark ages, before the Playstation and XBox and Nintendo, I conducted my own empirical studies using coin-operated arcade games. I found that after a couple of hours, my reflexes plateaued, then degraded. I had to go do something else for a couple of hours before I could come back and do better.
nope, it doesn't at all - it makes the prosecutor seem like a petulant child - they didn't get what they wanted (Swartz to quietly, meekly give in), so the pulled out the big guns and bullied him until he committed suicide.
so, because someone's feathers got ruffled, they pursued him until he committed suicide. Let that be a lesson boys and girls - don't piss off people in power, bow and scrape like a good little citizen and you will be OK</sarcasm>.
Not only that, the skills stuff is junk too - I have people endorsing me for skills that they have no clue of whether or not I posess them, nor how well I exercise them.
THIS! This is one of the two largest arguments in favor of OSS. With a PG server all I have to do is throw it up, and not worry about the licensing. That's extra time back in my day for real work. No stress, no fuss, no muss.
every other consumer broadband plan has been against them from the start. Google, on the other hand is the only company to start off saying do whatever, then change their tune once they started offering broadband.
And MS is still (a bit more quietly) trying to kill off Open Source in general, and the GPL in particular.
And MS is still trying to control your data by locking it up in non-standard (don't start saying it's a standard if even MS doesn't follow it) in proprietary products.
And MS is still running embrace, extend, extinguish on every competing technology.
