fka··on MCP Tools vs. MCP Inspector: Choosing the Right Tool for MCP Development
Hi HN!

In my recent posts about the MCPs, I've introduced MCP Tools, a command-line toolset for interacting with MCP servers. Today I compared it with the official MCP Inspector to help you decide which tool best fits your workflow, on my latest blog post. Hope it helps!

fka··on Show HN: Vibe Coding Prompts Collection
Hi everyone,

I'm Fatih, the maintainer of Awesome ChatGPT Prompts and https://prompts.chat.

I've put together a new collection of vibe-coding prompt ideas, mainly for newcomers, to help them explore and discover new ideas and build something with one-shot.

Would love to hear your thoughts and see what you build!

fka··on Prompt Hijacking for ChatGPT Web Browsing

fka··on Show HN: Dynamic Island for Web
I've started building a web version of Dynamic Island. It'll be available open-sourced on NPM soon (after some polishes on code and the README).

I've changed the position a bit to make the UI unblocking, but I've respected the rest of the behavior. Any recos welcome.

fka··on W3schools.dev Redirects to Mozilla Developer Network
vim.dev redirection is evil, w3schools.dev redirection is gift.
fka··on Vim.dev is redirected to Emacs website
Breaking: Some brave Vim user bought emacs.tech and forwarded to vim.org bug `tech` tld doesn't feel the same. Someone should reach out to emacs.dev owner.
fka··on Vim.dev is redirected to Emacs website
God will curse you since you've mentioned Vim as a "simply a terminal editor".
fka··on Vim.dev is redirected to Emacs website
An Emacs user bought the vim.dev domain and mistakenly forwarded to the Emacs website while trying to press some key combination using a CAPS LOCK to CTRL mapped keyboard.
fka··on A Commodore hacker’s story
I know him well, he's a legend in Turkey's software industry.
fka··on Graphql.js: A Simple and Isomorphic GraphQL Client for JavaScript
Actually you are right; priorities change for everyone. But to run with GraphQL main requirements were "build query and send to the server". And I created this library does it. But writing queries were problem and wasn't DRY enough, and I added fragment collecting feature which feels another requirement. Auto-declaration is also a feature to make it DRY. And I stopped adding features not to make it fat, but you can create a tool with caching, merging, etc. that uses graphql.js. I try to make it as lean as it can be.
fka··on Graphql.js: A Simple and Isomorphic GraphQL Client for JavaScript
Simply, you can use "isomorphic" libraries both in browsers and Node.js.
fka··on Graphql.js: A Simple and Isomorphic GraphQL Client for JavaScript
Sounds like SIGKILL :')
fka··on Graphql.js: A Simple and Isomorphic GraphQL Client for JavaScript
I hope you'll find this useful, if you have any problems please create an issue!
fka··on Graphql.js: A Simple and Isomorphic GraphQL Client for JavaScript
Thank you! As just you said, it's first aim is to be a lighter client alternative to Apollo and Relay.
fka··on Graphql.js: A Simple and Isomorphic GraphQL Client for JavaScript
I think I can do it with few simple hacks, I'll definitely try to add that, thanks for recommendation!
fka··on Graphql.js: A Simple and Isomorphic GraphQL Client for JavaScript
I may pick a shorter name.
fka··on Graphql.js: A Simple and Isomorphic GraphQL Client for JavaScript
Exactly! That's why I created this. Apollo is nice but too heavy for a simple query for small projects. graphql.js also, can scale big projects (I'm using it in a large project) since it has fragment collecting feature which makes your codebase manageable.
fka··on Graphql.js: A Simple and Isomorphic GraphQL Client for JavaScript
It's actually just a query-builder and request tool to a GraphQL server. It's only 9kb. And it's agnostic, doesn't require any other package(s). Just download and use without any dependency. Apollo is a very dependent tool to make a simple HTTP request. According to Apollo, it has less features, but the most required and important ones.
fka··on Graphql.js: A Simple and Isomorphic GraphQL Client for JavaScript
No, it can collect fragments (query building) and auto-declaration. when I add features it's not lightweight anymore :)
fka··on Show HN: Open Logos – Free logos for open source projects
