Someone pointed out on HN that Python gives segfault. He used a = 1000, a/1000 example. I did it on Python 3 and got the same error. It worked on Python 2 that came with Mavericks but thats about it. I'd think there are more issues.
I grew up in Russia and attended school there until 9th grade and when I went to American HS it buffled me that regular school day is so much longer but the quality of education in STEM is so much poorer. If I had to stay through out the summer studying then I probably would end up with ritalin for 'ADD'. I did not enjoy HS in US at all, it was like one big kindergarten for teenagers, so dreadful. It did not prepare me for college, but it's ok because my freshmen year was nearly identical in difficulty.
Overseas I used to go to school from 8am to 1pm with 40min classes(and I received much better education). In US I had to sit for over an hour per classs and until 4-5pm. Is this any wonder that kids can't sit from 8 to 4 with very small brakes in between? I didnt learn much in American HS, it was torture most of the day. All I wanted to do was to get my work done and gtfo /go home, but that system made it very difficult to do. In fact, I didnt care much for school as a result.
