wouldn't that apply to every trading card and collectible item then?

What do you think about the Brave Browser?

While it's just a Chromium with an integrated ad blocker + no-track, I think their curated publisher model might change the online ad industry for the better!

fidrelity··on Be Careful Celebrating Google’s New Ad Blocker
The state of online advertisement has to change. Customers and publishers are unsatisfied and there are massive bot scam networks out there.

I am hopeful that Brandon Eich's brave browser[1] will make the ads economy less vulnerable to Google's dominance.

The Rodale Institute[1] has a long running trial comparing different farming systems. In the long run organic farming outperforms "conventional" methods in terms of yield, resilience and cost[2].

If you believe their research that is.

What was your personal solution if I may ask?
fidrelity··on Why I don't want to do anything with my life
I don't understand why this article seems to offend many of you in the comments. In my opinion the author doesn't claim to have done and mastered all the careers he talks about. Yes, he's promoting his book - so what? You won't find many articles on here that have no business interest behind it.

I for one simply enjoyed the read.

Hi, I'm a Rails dev with experience on the full stack - from deployment and server administration to JS frameworks and team leading.

I have a Frontend / Full-stack colleague (Angular, Rails, HTML5, CSS3) and we enjoy working as a professional team. Together we’ve established a development culture of responsible, test driven development.

I'm looking for a trustful and flexible work environment with a "Getting things done" mentality. Please spare me all the corporate politics games. Ideally part time. If you're not in Barcelona, contact me anyway, maybe we can figure something out. Thanks.

fidrelity··on Unpaid Internships: Bad for Students, Bad for Workers, Bad for Society
is this really an issue in the tech industry? I'm studying in austria, absolved an internship in germany, got paid quite well and so did all my fellow students (internships all over europe, US, australia).
fidrelity··on Poll: How long have you been programming?
I'm 21 and I started coding 2 1/2 year ago. Though my first tries were on my TI Voyage when I was 16. But those programs were basically a bunch of if/else statements that printed some text.
fidrelity··on Ask HN: Is there any point in using mailto: links any more?
i'm totally one of theses people. whenever i accidentally clicked on a mailto link some crappy tool popped up and wanted my attention.

now that it only opens a new gmail tab it's the first time that it's become useful to me!

fidrelity··on Open source music search/play app for all OSes
i like the look of your tool.

my top feature request: playlists! and i think you need to increase feedback for the user. e.g. when i click 'play all' i see nothing that tells me that the click worked and that it will begin playing in a few seconds.

keep it going!

fidrelity··on Why my Mom Bought an Android, Returned It, and Got an iPhone
I understand that the author is pissed because of the bad UX. But all he claims is a branding issue or a manufacturers fail.

Still it's Googles job to set boundaries to not let them do what they want.

In my opinion this is just one of many imprecised android reviews.
