apparently its “the big lie”
^^ that chart.
also, giving people money directly with stuff like unemployment and stimulus checks is extremely stimulative compared to say building a bridge.
massive supply shocks didnt help either. but they govt knew there was supply shocks and increased demand anyway. despite warnings by democratic economists. (we just found out yellen herself had misgivings about the 1.9T price tag)
guess its just a coincidence that they chose now to do it. and not 2017
socialists in 2022: "evil oligopolies are raising prices unfairly causing inflation"
havent found one that could explain why they didnt "collude" to raise prices in 2008-2019.
whereas its quite clear what caused the high prices was rather insane govt spending caused by socialist policies.
so it just goes to show how hypocritical Google is being when they are mega woke on every other facet. probably because their ceo harbors a like for the caste system
i think driving down asset prices and raising wages and lowered unemployment benefits will hopefully reverse some of that
so no you’re wrong. actually half the reason we’re in this mess is the fed was being too woke trying to lower unemployment rate for ”marginalized” groups not because they were favoring the rich
plus the fed raising rates is destroying asset prices, which are held by the rich. in fact elon and bezos etc have lost double digit percents of their net worth
i’m talking my coworkers at FANG companies or very smart investors in other areas.
i think it’s because although people can be talented in one area it doesn’t mean they are well rounded and sophisticated in other areas
in a sense this is a good thing if it halts the consumer in its track.
the more consumer weakness the sooner we can get rid of inflation and get back on a sustainable growth trajectory.
if instead demand was still booming i think the fed would have to raise rates even more aggressively and cause a more serious recession
the only downside is if it just causes them to spend the money they would’ve spent on gas elsewhere
plus a lot just blindly memorize thousands of leetcode answers but aren’t great coders.
the next 2 meetings they plan to raise it by 0.5 each meeting. and then 0.25 each meeting after that until inflation is gone.
in 2019 they started lowering it because they crashed the market by raising it to 2.5. which proves the point
trajectory matters alot.

bigger question is why was microsoft not part of it? mainly because it didnt form a catchy word.
why is it okay if its one person, or a few people, but >n bad actors is fine?
