felipebueno··on Can This Web Be Saved? Mozilla Accepts DRM, and We All Lose
I'm done with Mozilla but I think the problem is not just the browser we choose anymore. The whole thing is compromised. We need a new internet, "new" ways to share and consume information. There are many people who think so as well.

e.g.: http://electronician.hubpages.com/hub/Why-We-Need-a-New-Inte...

felipebueno··on HMO: Help Me Out
Hey, this is great. I'm doing the same thing. A lot of stuff: DVDs, books, musical instruments, gadgets and stuff. :)

Can I use your design on my site? I already copied it. :P

felipebueno··on Popcorn Time Is So Good at Movie Piracy, It’s Scary
Hi, Steeve!

Thank you for this awesome project. Can't wait to see it running on my RPi. =)

felipebueno··on Atom
Thanks to Atom not being really free software and people here suggesting it a lot I give LightTable a try. I'm an emacs user but I like experimenting different foss editors and LighTable + emacs keybindings plugin is a really nice and beautiful tool.

Couldn't get it to work on Debian Wheezy yet (GLIBC_2.15 not found)* but worked on a Windows machine at work so I'm testing it there. I'll get back to linux later. Looking forward for v1.0. :)

* It seems to be a known issue: https://github.com/LightTable/LightTable/issues/972

felipebueno··on Show HN: Wagtail, our new Django CMS
Wow, this is really beautiful. Just in time for my next project: a tiny ERP to manage my sister's bakery.

Thanks for open sourcing this. :)

felipebueno··on Show Your Support For Unity3D Editor On Linux
I'm an [emacs -nw + bash] dude but, sometimes, I like using fancy shiny gui tools. :)
felipebueno··on Show Your Support For Unity3D Editor On Linux
We want the Unity Editor not just the Unity Player.
felipebueno··on Show Your Support For Unity3D Editor On Linux
Exactly. Linux is my primary OS and I'm not a game developer but I still log on Windows from time to time just to play with Unity and make simple games.
felipebueno··on GOG offering Fallout, Fallout 2, and Fallout Tactics for free
Thanks, man! :)
felipebueno··on I'm Building a GitHub for Writers
It's sad for me to see what you are doing because I had the same idea like 5 months ago. But I'm not that good on putting ideas into actions so it didn't go that far. :(

That'd be an awesome tool for witers, bloggers, editors, etc.

Keep up the good work! =)

felipebueno··on GameBoy Programming Manual
Here's a nice tutorial to get you started: http://dev-scene.com/NDS/Tutorials_Day_1
felipebueno··on GameBoy Programming Manual
Thanks for the manual. =]

I know it's not an official manual but it's worth mentioning: GBA Tonc - http://www.coranac.com/tonc/text/toc.htm

felipebueno··on LIMBO Game for iPhone and iPad
Ok, but when I'm buying an app I look for the minimum requiriments where it's supposed to be and it's like that:

"Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 6.0 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5."

It's a bit misleading don't you think?

felipebueno··on LIMBO Game for iPhone and iPad
It says "Requirements: Compatible with iPhone 3GS, iPhone 4, iPhone 4S, iPhone 5, iPod touch (3rd generation), iPod touch (4th generation), iPod touch (5th generation) and iPad. Requires iOS 6.0 or later. This app is optimized for iPhone 5." but it didin't work on my iPhone 4.
felipebueno··on Flat UI was Released - Framework for Designers and Developers, based on Bootstrap
Very neat design. Is there a Wordpress theme?
felipebueno··on Hack Blindness
Very interesting and inspiring reading. =)
felipebueno··on Linux is not about choice (2008)
Because it's still relevant and, I guess, that's why you are being downvoted.
felipebueno··on Ask HN: Why can't I login to HN via Firefox?
Yep. It worked for me as well. Thanks! =)
felipebueno··on Crowd Sourcing / Funding for students
Why do you need an iMac? Why would I help you to buy one? You can develop for almost every platform using your Sony Laptop, even for iOS. And why an iMac? The most expensive Apple computer. Why don't you start with a Mac Mini (if you really need a mac)?

I would like to buy a car but I won't ask money to the internet for that.

felipebueno··on E-Ink Technology Transitions from eReader Screens to Keyboards
Imagine how easy it would be changing from QWERTY to Dvorak or whatever other keyboard layout. I want it and I want it now! =)
felipebueno··on Craftstud.io - A Game to Make Games (now in beta)
This is looks awesome. Already downloaded the program and forked the repository on Bitbucket to help translating it to brasilian portuguese (pt-BR). Congrats and keep up the great work! =)
felipebueno··on Geeksphone's Firefox OS smartphones go on sale tomorrow
"...but will there be buyers?" Yes. I'm definitely buying a Peak and a Keon. =)
felipebueno··on Expunging Google
I totally agree with your thoughts and concerns. It sounds like my experience: https://news.ycombinator.com/item?id=5535181

felipebueno··on Can a Puppy Sell a CMS?
This reminds me of Windows Bob but I don't think it worked very well for Microsoft putting that dog there. Initially people (women and children) were impressed with how cute it was but five minutes later they were trying to kill that annoying yellow dog.
felipebueno··on Haiku Operating System
I like Haiku OS very much :)... Last year, I tried using it as my primary OS for a couple of weeks but it didn't work very well. It's not productive enough (for me) yet.

But I will certainly try it again in the near future because I like very much switching my OS every now and then. And I definitely recommend it for any advanced user to try it out. =)
