Swimming in the river (with the dolphins!) is a very popular tourist attraction in the Amazon, actually. Just don't pee in the water![1]

It's super exciting to see people using open-unmix like this! I worked with the creator of the model to try to do the same as a university project! Our solution was... not great, to say the least, but I'm happy someone else managed to do it!

Wow, this really puts in to perspective how hard the Appassionata is - I could barely keep up with the tempo doing the trills with one hand, I can't even imagine actually playing it. One day maybe :^D

As the other commenter mentioned, that'd be the Delay page. I use 60 seconds for sites like hackernews at work and it really curbs the impulse to waste time while still allowing you to use the site if you really want to.

I use Leechblock on Firefox (including mobile) [1]. It's also available on Chrome [2]. You can set delays, hard block, set custom time ranges (i.e. only block during working hours), make it overridable, and a lot more.

I really dig it, it helped me stop using Reddit :^)

I (Brazilian) had to get a J1 for a 3-month internship despite having a B1, my sister had a 6-month J1 for another exchange, so I guess it can vary

If you are a beginner and want to start with calisthenics, I recommend the Hybrid Routine[1]. It has really nice progressions for all exercised mentioned above (and it's free!)

Hah, that takes me back!! MY first internship was at SAP and I foolishly didn't even ask which technologies I would work with... ABAP is literally the worst lol. This was 2018 btw

_merde_!

I'm just about to finish up the Aubrey and Maturin series [1] - It's very well written and has a nice balance of character development and action. Some of the stuff that happens seems unbelievable until you realise that O'Brian took an event from real life and just changed the names.

Really makes me want to buy a boat or something :^D

Season 2 has just come out! It's really fun :)

> I’m unsurprised you’re not seeing it in tv news in Brazil - your country denies the existence of climate change, and wants to chop down the Amazon for a quick buck. It would hardly fit with the popular narrative.

This is a very uninformed take that generalizes a country of 200M+ people. Believe it or not, but people in Brazil are just as worried about climate change as you

Tô be fair, Reddit had a long time to grow organically, it didn't just spawn with millions of users overnight - same for most subreddits.

Still, users now expect an active community and a fast and reliable website right now, not in 10 years.

Lemmy/Kbin/whatever is not going to _replace_ Reddit today, and I don't think they ever meant to replace it all at once... but maybe they can keep growing and eventually get there.

Right, but the point of this change isn't really the _actual cost_ of 3rd party API usage, as much as the _opportunity cost_. They are way overcharging for the API, and they know it. Adding some expenses in the form of paid mods (let's be honest, probably off-shored to a 3rd world country and paid minimum wage) would be worth it, if it can guarantee the subs keep running.

Close - it's Fundo de Quintal [1]

It doesn't really solve the problem though, since continuing to use the site is the same as accepting the cookies

Mec, pourquoi répondre en français ?

Maybe its because of people from the state of Rio Grande do Sul[1] - commonly shortened to RS
