factsarelolz··on Europe accuses US of profiting from war
> The US "escalated" by helping them (at their request) fight off a violent and genocidal invader??

No the “US” kept the Ukrainians away from the negotiation tables. It wasn’t until right before the midterms the US changed it tune swiftly and recommended Ukraine go to the negotiation tables.

> According to multiple former senior U.S. officials we spoke with, in April 2022, Russian and Ukrainian negotiators appeared to have tentatively agreed on the outlines of a negotiated interim settlement: Russia would withdraw to its position on February 23, when it controlled part of the Donbas region and all of Crimea, and in exchange, Ukraine would promise not to seek NATO membership and instead receive security guarantees from a number of countries. https://www.foreignaffairs.com/russian-federation/world-puti...

factsarelolz··on Europe accuses US of profiting from war
There were some tin foil hat types that were saying that the goal of the Ukraine/Russia conflict was 2 fold. 1. To get rid of Putin 2. To make the EU rely on the US instead of Russia. It appears the second part is working. The more the US escalated the conflict the more power it held over the EU. Some might even say that the bombing of Nord Stream helped this endeavor. Just for prosperity. The Orange Man was laughed at and ridiculed when bring up reliance on Russian supplies. Didn't age very well.

> US policies will force many EU businesses to either delocalize to the US or to shutdown, as if it was all planned, boosting the US economy, what ever it takes, god save the dollar

Always has been.

It was a tongue in cheek reference to Elon Musk calling out Business Insider. Judging by the downvotes I should have been more clear and at least linked to the tweet.

factsarelolz··on Why it’s hard to buy deodorant in Manhattan
> When these people return to the store, they can probably tell with some level of confidence they previously robbed a target.

They still need a cop to show up and actually trespass the individual. Cops refuse to show up, take hours if they do and perhaps even then still not be convinced to spend their time doing to report. The cops know the person will be back, the company knows the person will be back, and even the person knows they'll be back. Unfortunately there's nothing the owner of the store can do except attempt to reduce all liability of said person being on property.

Thanks Elon.
factsarelolz··on Why it’s hard to buy deodorant in Manhattan
Stores aren't calling the police and if they do the police don't show up.

factsarelolz··on Amazon’s already greenlit an FTX miniseries
> I don't think most people would recognize Elizabeth Holmes or Theranos.

I tend to agree. I've never spoke of theranos or EH with friends or more specifically my wife. The other day she brings it up...

"What do you know about Elizabeth Holmes? She just had a baby and is going to jail for 15 years"

The pregnancy / child / jail is what made my wife interested. I told her that I didn't have much information on the subject other than the company said they could do x, pulled in a ton of cash, and couldn't do x. She then proceeded to watch every documentary / book / article she could find on EH and Theranos.

It was the pregnancy topic that made my wife interested. Not the amount of money or fraud, pregnancy which is something she can relate to.

> Plenty of people hopelessly throw money at politicians.

Those people throw tens or hundreds of dollars. Not tens of millions of dollars. Big difference.

> Again, there is a paranoid subculture that assumes every donation brings legislative power

No I don't believe the $3 Bernie was asking for would bring any legislative power but $30,000,000?

Sounds about right, sunshine must be bright if you're just now coming out from under that rock. The Crypto Industry is nothing but scams on top of scam on top of scams in order to show legitimacy. Hell try to get an _actual_ trusted audit. I'll hold my breath.

factsarelolz··on Class-action lawsuit filed against US state agency over mobile 'spyware'
> They are alleging that this was installed on a million phones,

This allegation is based up the number reported by Google that is available to the public.

> I'm sure doing some straightforward technical forensics would make it clearly apparent what was going on.

Why? Why spend the money to hire a forensics analyst or a team, when through discovery you can learn that information straight from the source. In my opinion it would be worth it to wait to see if the lawsuit actually progresses and is not immediately slapped down by a judge. If immediately slapped down then you just wasted money, by waiting to ensure it’s approved to move forward you can save some money.

I will admit I have not read completely the actual filing, which probably will shed more light on it than an article.

factsarelolz··on Class-action lawsuit filed against US state agency over mobile 'spyware'
> 1. How did Mass install these apps in the first place if it was "clandestine" as the lawsuit alleges?

Discovery will probably shed some light on this. How would the plaintiff know the exact method used?

> never mind that legal filings are by definition highly biased to the side being represented.

Tell me you’ve never been a plaintiff in a lawsuit without telling me you’ve never been a plaintiff in a lawsuit. Why would the fillings _not_ be biased to the side being represented? Why would the side being represented be biased to the defense? That makes no sense at all.

factsarelolz··on Class-action lawsuit filed against US state agency over mobile 'spyware'
Sounds like it, that’s why the headline has Koch in it, by framing it this way the anti-Koch crowd grabs their pitch forks without reading past the headline.
factsarelolz··on Class-action lawsuit filed against US state agency over mobile 'spyware'
It’s not kinda both. It’s the equivalent of scary quotes. By framing this as Koch funded, anti Koch people already made their decision and grabbed their pitch forks without reading anything past the headline.
factsarelolz··on Israel deploys remote-controlled robotic guns
> I’d guess it’s due to the nature of the unrelenting violent opposition they face. Necessity is the mother of invention.

It would be one thing if these types of weapons were used for defense versus offense. Then selling off that offensive weapon to fund more offensive weapons. These weapons that were created as you said to combat violent opposition, enables Nation States and Authoritarian Regimes to target journalists and whistleblowers.

FTX and SBF will be the grift that keeps on grifting as more details come out. These stories will continue to drip out as the media conglomerates cash out on that ad rev. I am already starting to check out on this story due to being inundated with details on a daily basis.

“At this point, what difference does it make?” - someone famous

factsarelolz··on Israel deploys remote-controlled robotic guns
I find it interesting that such a small country and population can create the most devastating Offensive Kinetic and Cyber weapons… Is this due to conscription and the revolving door with the Military/Civilian sectors? There have been multiple Cyber Security Companies “created” by ex-military personnel. Any insight / conversation on the topic is welcome.
factsarelolz··on FTX’s balance sheet was bad
Could you detail SBF's experience that would have opened doors to him at Jane St without nepotism? I ask because I can't find any evidence to show how he was able to get into that position. Thanks for the guidance and I look forward to your reply.
factsarelolz··on FTX’s balance sheet was bad
Both SBF and the other person were glorified interns and got position based upon their parents network.

Set multiple stop losses? $6, $5.99, $5.75, etc, etc. if one fails one of the others will catch it. Hell as long as it sells before $5.01 I'm profitable. Simple as.
factsarelolz··on FTX collapse, Tether operations have links to online-poker cheating scandals
Uhhh you set a stop loss number.

If it hits x sell. So if I was given a coin currently "worth" $15,000 for $5. I could set a stop loss of $6 and always make a profit since my initial investment was $5. Asleep, awake, doesn't matter.

factsarelolz··on FTX collapse, Tether operations have links to online-poker cheating scandals
I would be very confident I could sell before it hits $5.
