existentialhalt··on One More Time, with Big Data: Measles Vaccine Doesn’t Cause Autism
Double-blind placebo controlled studies evaluating the safety of mercury based preservatives and aluminum adjuvants in vaccines still have not been done. This study evaluates the contemporary MMR vaccine that does not have mercury or aluminum in it, so it's know surprise to people who understand the science behind vaccine-hesitancy that the results of this study showed no problems.

The parents reporting symptoms of autism from vaccines aren't talking about a gradual process. They are talking about having a normal, happy, talkitive child who plays and engages one day....

...and then right after the vaccine they are completely mentally retarded, can't make eye contact, and no longer speak the words they spoke prior to the vaccination.

"For all of the regularly scheduled vaccines the answer is the risks of not vaccinating greatly outweigh those of receiving it, unless you have an allergy to something in that particular vaccine."

This is only true for healthy people who have had no reactions to vaccines, nor have their family members.

There are people who have life-long debilitating reactions. What is being proposed is to make it impossible to opt-out if you have a personal or family history with negative reactions to vaccines. Medical exemptions are impossible to get except for the very wealthy who can afford the appropriate testing to prove it's an issue.

It's unfortunate how these scientists complain how hard it is for parents to get clear and balanced information on the topic, and then in the same breath talk about how important it is to censor any other scientific perspective but their own.

This study does not evaluate the leading hypothesis of how vaccines could cause autism / other issues.

That hypothesis is the mercury and aluminum exposure. The current MMR vaccine does not contain mercury or aluminum.

Here is Coleen Boyle, Director of the National Center on Birth Defects and Developmental Disabilities, testifying before congress that a double-blind placebo-controlled trial has never been done to evaluate the safety of any vaccine. This is the gold standard of clinical trials that every other drug on the market must complete before FDA approval.

The reason I'm resorting to appeals of emotion is because the opposing side will only listen to emotion. They are so convinced the science is settled that you can't get a single word in to present a logical argument.

Another issue is that physicians flat out deny that there are any risks associated with vaccines. And the one's that do admit this risk losing their license.

Yet it's widely known in the medical industry that all medical treatments carry risk, like you said.

The point I'm making is that it's not okay to force others to inject things they do not want in their bodies so that you don't have to make any effort for dealing with diseases. Forcibly injecting someone is violence, but it's so abstracted in our society that most do not see it that way.

I generally don't bother to argue logical points because no one will listen. But here are a couple of the big ones:

Measles is not a deadly disease for all but in the most rare of cases. Yet the claims of vaccine injuries are skyrocketing. It doesn't make sense to protect people from a non-deadly disease at the cost of giving millions lifelong debilitating illness.

There has not been one double-blind placebo controlled trial to evaluate the safety of any vaccine. All studies that have been done compare a newer vaccine to an older vaccine. Those are the kinds of studies people are referring to when they claim that there is no link between autism and vaccines. These studies only prove that the new vaccine is AS safe as the old vaccine.

The measles vaccine was introduced in 1963. Deaths from measles were already minuscule before the vaccine was even introduced.

Likewise, most diseases were well under control before the introduction of vaccines. This is due to advances in sanitation.

Of course, vaccines for polio are probably worth the risk/reward. But no one is actually talking about polio. We are talking about non-deadly diseases.

This is a decent summary with sources to these claims: http://www.jannyorganically.com/blog/2019/1/27/your-industry...

I was vaccine injured and it destroyed my life. I battled physically crippling pain and brain damage for over a decade.

I arrived at this conclusion after studying biochemistry for over a decade.

You think your "cursory" search is adequate to evaluate this problem? You think you can quickly Google complex problems and completely figure them out? That's weird. You seem to be the illogical superficial one.

I used to be a professional environmental engineer. There are real logical concerns with vaccines. Hardly any one will even listen to my logic, because most people are like you, who think it's logical to ignore logical arguments because you don't like it.

Pathetic. You're full of hate based on a "cursory" Google search.

Why don't you take responsibility for your own health instead of expecting others to risk their lives so you can be lazy?

I was vaccine injured. I battled crippling physical pain and brain damage for over a decade. Do I not have a right to try and survive? Or are you willing to sacrifice people like me so you can be safe with minimal effort?

How would you like it if I called "gender dysphoria" a conspiracy theory? Despite me not being an expert in the issue?

That's what your saying to people with vaccine injuries.

I was vaccine injured. It destroyed my life. This is not rare. I'm not anti-vax. I'm pro safer vaccination practices. But of course, I'm not allowed to talk about this despite overwhelming scientific evidence that vaccines are not 100% safe.

When the medical system actually starts curing people then they can claim their advice is the best. Otherwise it's just opinion. If you can't cure a disease you don't understand it.
existentialhalt··on Should Mental Disorders Have Names?
I have been diagnosed with bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, depression, anxiety, and autism. All caused by chronic mercury toxicity. The name of the disorder should be "mercury toxicity" in my case.
existentialhalt··on Things I Wish I’d Known Before My Chronic Illness
I'll bookmark it and maybe look at it someday. But my illness is caused by mercury poisoning, and I'm responding dramatically to treatment, so not very interested in inexplicable theories at the moment.
existentialhalt··on Things I Wish I’d Known Before My Chronic Illness
The word "placebo" has been used against me over and over. It is frequently used as a justification for ignoring chronically ill people. It suggests that we are incapable of feeling anything physically real in our bodies.

Totally agree that chronic illness is curable if you look outside the traditional healthcare system. But that book is hand-waivey mumbo jumbo.

existentialhalt··on Things I Wish I’d Known Before My Chronic Illness
How about you fix the system first before making this argument. Good luck.
existentialhalt··on Things I Wish I’d Known Before My Chronic Illness
I'm so sorry to hear about your experience. I can relate to it a lot.

I'm responding because it sounds like you're desperate to try anything. This sounds like a long shot, but IMO, I don't think it is.

My chronic illness turned out to be mercury poisoning. It has a wide ranging affects depending on your genetics and other environmental factors, and is known to cause a large variety of symptoms. I have 4 close friends who have similar-but-different problems than me, and they also found out it was mercury toxicity. I'm convinced this is an epidemic that the healthcare industry refuses to evaluate for a variety of political and financial reasons. I was an environmental engineer before I became too sick to work, so I know a thing or two about the politics of toxins.

The cure is Andy Cutler Chelation therapy. There is a $99 hair test that is very reliable in giving a diagnosis. I went from not being able to stand up or listen to someone speak an entire sentence to being someone who can pass as a normal human being, and I continue to improve rapidly.

It's worth a shot. Best wishes. Feel free to message me.

existentialhalt··on Things I Wish I’d Known Before My Chronic Illness
Throwaway for fear of being discriminated against based on this post.

I found out last year that my mentally and physically debilitating chronic illness is caused by mercury toxicity. This was after spending over a decade studying alternative medicine and reading the work of biochemists. I've come to the conclusion that doctors are not appropriate for treating many chronic illnesses--biochemists are.

I'm following a treatment protocol that was published in 1999, has it's roots in the 70s, and in addition to supplements uses medications that were invented in the 50s. It's nothing short of miraculous. There are thousands like me who are having equally miraculous results, including 4 close friends of mine.

It's sad how long it takes for legitimate cures to go mainstream. And this cure in particular has been repressed for political reasons, and probably also profit-motive reasons (although I suspect unconsciously). The people with this illness are routinely mocked by healthcare workers, claimed to be idiots by the mainstream media, and avoided in everyday life if they talk about their illness.

After this experience, I have zero faith in the current healthcare and political system to cure chronic illness. It would be better to give up on it entirely and let biochemists take the lead.

And it's not just the government/healthcare-system/big-pharma/whatever, it's everyday people who just repeat what they hear because it's easier than evaluating the evidence. And then they vote to keep the same system in place that fails millions.
