Türkiye has declared a fourth level alert state. The "level 4" alarm condition includes an international call for help.
Here is how you can help support those affected.
Most trusted NGOs of Turkey - https://www.akut.org.tr/en/donation - https://bagis.ahbap.org/bagis?currency=USD
And another NGO in USA - https://donate.tpfund.org/campaign/tpf-turkiye-earthquake/c4...

We still don't have clear phase 3 results. The announced results (by Turkey, Brazil, Indonesia) are so different. It is not easy to trust it at the moment.
BUT WE ALREADY VACCINATED ALMOST TWO MILLIONS IN TURKEY :D
So the real results are coming... Just wait a couple of weeks more.

Quote from the blog post: "Last but not least. Feel responsible from day one. You are a part of the team and you are responsible for every failure and every success. More or less. If there is a pain in somewhere in your team, feel it in your heart. In companies, there are always some “local people” and “tourists”. Tourists are only interested in “fancy” things. They follow their interests. They hate problematic situations. They don’t take some much responsibility in case of failure. They always blame decision makers since they never try to be one of them. When they get bored, they just fly to yet another city. In reality, there are lots of limitations and we are not living in a perfect world. Unfortunately they are not aware of this fact. Maybe they are just prefering ignoring it. I don’t know. What I want to say be one of the “local people”. Local people know not only good places of the city but also the suburb. Local people think about how to manage the city, how to “survive” in the city, how to make the city more beautiful. They can live with the bad sides of the city. At least for a while :)"
being a world-class software engineer
>Do you mean you are worried about not being able to pick up another job if you lose your current one?
no for the short term but yes for the long term. also, for me, having "a" job is not enough. I want to have a job that satisfies my intellectual curiosity and career goals.
Inspiring words! Thanks...
> Remember that as software engineers, our job is to solve problems. It doesn't matter what technology, language, or framework as long as you bring value on the table.
What I observe in the industry is different. The market is so fierce and competitive and many companies (especially non-enterprise, medium-sized startups) are looking for people who perfectly fit their positions. Tools, domain, methodologies, etc.
