epylar··on Will a prompt that enables GPT-4 to solve easy Sudoku puzzles be found?
LLM's aren't statistical in the sense of memorizing percentages of words that come after other words. They are modeling a very high dimensional function using a neural net. I suppose they're statistical in the sense of learning how to mimic what they've seen, but this includes some very surprising emergent abilities as well.

Emergent abilities can be gradual and continuous.
epylar··on GPL is no longer on the FSF website
Might makes right, after all.
epylar··on GitHub Copilot emits GPL code
The crux of this is at what point is the code being copied, and is that copying allowed under the license? For example, maybe --

* Training an AI with the code is allowed legally.

* Storing model weights is allowed legally.

* Querying the AI with those model weights is allowed legally.

Or maybe not.

This is a good point. I believe H1B as it exists today is abusive.

You can't generalize your experience (trauma mimicking ADD symptoms) to 'ADD [is not] a life-long disability' -- people have symptoms for different reasons and there are biomarkers for ADD.
epylar··on Senate Bill to Ban TikTok
Not necessarily. Only if the Supreme Court hears the case and agrees.

epylar··on Eggs are 60% more expensive than last year in the US
Giving away money doesn't cause inflation. Printing money does though. If he was printing money specifically to finance this it would be causing extra inflation.
