episode0x01··on What Are “Unusual Characters”?
I don't think the author was implying active hostility on the part of the EE programmers.

> It's the banality of bigotry which gets to me. Usual. Normal. Standard. They’re just dull ways for dull people with limited imaginations to dehumanise other people. The people who designed this form probably didn’t think of themselves as racist. They just designed, built, or perpetuated a system which was exclusionary.

Laziness, carelessness, incompetence lead to poorly designed systems, including systems which exclude groups of people.

Looks really cool. Looks like I'm now hitting an unexpected error when trying to load the page

is efficient the right word?
episode0x01··on Delta Chat – decentralized chat via email
Use another address for this? I think the idea is to leverage email as opposed to depending on a central provider. Doesn't mean you have to use your main email address for it to function.

Luckily they are working on transitioning away from requiring a number. That will be an improvement.
episode0x01··on Writing well
Would also recommend On Writing Well by William Zinsser. Amazing guide on writing nonfiction.
episode0x01··on Life is 90% of my use cases for org-mode
I've been using vimwiki daily for the past month after I saw it mentioned here on HN. It's really changed a lot and has replaced the method I had before that involved VScode markdown snippets. It's nice to be able to directly link between my diary / task lists and my general knowledge base that contains code snippets and information about my projects, etc.
episode0x01··on Blur Tools for Signal
Why is encryption needed? Or privacy in general? If you have nothing to hide, you have nothing to fear.
