You're lucky, for me it was a zero-day notice. Here are bits of the email I got:
> Due to an operational change, your USD account details for your Wise Business and Personal accounts are changing. [...] From today, October 17, 2023, your old USD account details will no longer work.
Please open an issue at https://bugs.kali.org to keep discussing it. Thanks!
BUT I also had to replace the battery after a year or two (it was swollen to the point that I couldn't close the laptop anymore).
And finally the rubbery coating of the case degraded badly and turned into a gooey, sticky mess (apparently a known issue with this kind of material, for those living in tropical weather).
So I'm done with Dell for a while.

Looking at the Git history, it was recognized straight from the start, when GOption was introduced in 2004. No idea why they chose it, and if it was their own idea, or if they followed some existing convention from somewhere else...
I detailed that in a (lengthy) blog post if you're interested: https://arnaudr.io/2020/08/10/goaccess-14-a-detailed-tutoria...
Apparently there are previous studies (pre-covid Era) that found similar changes in the brain associated with loss of smell.

I understand your comment but Hugo is the wrong example, this package is actively maintained and is up to date in Debian unstable.
France public healthcare changed a lot, it went down for 20 years, successive governments handled it with the capitalist logic that, basically, healthcare should be profitable, like any other business. Budget for public hospitals was reduced again and again, the number of available beds was reduced, staff was reduced or not renewed.
I don't think French healthcare ranks #1 today, not even in the top 10. Try to see if you can get your hand on a more recent report.
You don't seem to understand that the more a population builds up immunity, and the less the virus can circulate in this population. So Sweden might end up being the place where you're the less likely to get the virus, if any.
Plus, for people under 65 and no pre-existing conditions, the risk from Covid-19 is negligible. Peaople under 65 represents a lot of tourists and business people already. I personally would go to Sweden without the slightest worry, but that's just me. In the end everybody will assess the risk by themselves, like grown-ups.
> In the end, the Vietnamese will have more freedom than the Swedish
Freedom within the country? Freedom to travel in other countries? Freedom to open their border and welcome foreigners? What do you mean exactly?
As long as the virus circulates in the world, and the population of a country was never exposed to it, then the epidemic is just waiting to happen. I don't see how a country like VN which has presumably not build up immunity at all can be in a good position.
If the virus disappears completely from the surface of the planet, then that's great news for VN. They will have managed to keep the virus out, and to safely re-open the borders. A great success.
But if the virus doesn't disappear, and lingers around for years, Vietnam will have to maintain draconian measures at the borders for a very long time. This will have a cost, and yes it hurts the economy, you can't deny that.
> When countries that have put the virus under control agree to reopen borders against each other
I don't know how you will define "put the virus under control". Good luck with that. And good luck handling all the travelers with two nationalities and two passports.
Wrong, with SARS-CoV-1 "immunity lasted between three to six years" [1]

With this scenario you get no tourists and no business trip. Can you really call that re-opening? For how long such measures can last?
Say on day one you test 10 persons and get 1 positive. Then on day two you tests 100 persons and get 10 positive.
You can say it's 10% positive in both cases: the virus doesn't spread. Or you can say the number of positive was multiplied by 10 in only one day: wow, "exponential growth", the number of positive cases is "soaring".
So, yeah, like most of the mainstream coverage around covid, it's just BS. Put the highest numbers along with a few dramatic words in the headline, and you're done, you wrote an article. Just fill the article with whatever, who cares.
Personally I find this website quite good, I would recommend it to anyone whose genuinely interested in the covid-19 phenomenon (among other sites).
The site is a collection of links mostly.
It doesn't pretend to give you an objective view of the covid-19, quite the opposite, in fact it collects every possible information that suggests that covid-19 is much less dangerous than the mainstream media pretends it is.
The site seems to be just a curated list of links and a short summary that supports this point of view. It's updated daily.
There's a lot of interesting information, it's definitely welcome for those who are curious about the covid-19 phenomenon.
Also, I don't think you can call it FUD. If you want FUD on covid-19, there's plenty in the mainstream news, no need to search further.
Can't help but notice that this kind of argument never really worked for torrent platforms.
There are many pros and cons of having a stable API, and it can be technical and political and more. Saying it's just a "political decision" is plain wrong.
