edwardg··on Show HN: Self-governed network of freelancers who send each other overflow work
Just curious as to how the payment part of this would work? It's a great idea - something you could build out (a vetted list of top-quality freelancers available to work on your project? People would love that).

If there is a vetted list of freelancers all of the same, trusted, standard, it could be that having individual minimums creates a 'race to the bottom' thing that other places have. I would have a fixed price per hour which is slightly above average, with a guarantee of high-quality return and efficiency.

If you can get members to work with and look over projects they're not attached to (feedback etc) you could increase the value of the service as a whole.

edwardg··on Ask HN: What framework/libs are you using for building RESTish APIs in Node.js?
Don't use it (I'm not exactly a developer) but I've heard good things about Hapi (http://hapijs.com/) may be worth checking out, I think it has most of the stuff you're looking for.
edwardg··on Let's Build a Browser Engine in Swift
Nice blog. Swift looks like a nice language to get working with (certainly, nicer than Rust), and I've been finding that rebuilding things (a simple app in my case rather than a browser engine!) is a good way to learn programming concepts/the language. My one bit of feedback would be that your hyper-link font color is pretty difficult to read!
edwardg··on Lodash v3.0.0
For anyone interested in learning more about lodash, Adam Boduch's "Lodash Essentials" book just got released, and covers everything in v3 (he delayed it to make sure it covered v3).

edwardg··on Ask HN: What tools or frameworks needed to make a Pocket Trains Style App
Chris Sawyer wrote Rollercoaster Tycoon in Assembly (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/RollerCoaster_Tycoon). I don't think even he would recommend this though...
