Table scans are good. -- Google Big Query
edsheeran··on How did a 30 year-old Su-22 defeat a modern AIM-9X?
Ah, but the modern AIM-9X is not so modern anymore. AI will be able to decrease false tracking.
edsheeran··on My 400-Person Company Has a Great Work Culture, and We All Work Remotely
A real virtual company, in the cloud. This just might be the future, just as infrastructure and services are hosted in the cloud.
edsheeran··on Tableau Software Drops Its 'Twitter Crowd Favorite' Data Viz Contests
This seems strange to me. People usually vote along tribal lines, so why throw the baby out with the bath water. Why not make it regional favorites?
edsheeran··on Amazon Said to Plan Cuts to Shed Whole Foods' Pricey Image
Personally, I prefer Trader Joe's to WF. TJ by design stocks FEWER SKUs, has human (humane) cashiers that can engage you in conversation and know how to properly bag items. It's the closest thing to European street stands, excluding of course the American farmer's market which can be so much more expensive.

How does indemnification work in this case? Some of these tools could be dangerous for weekend warriors.

Can someone please explain to me what the _underline_ at the beginning and end of a word is supposed to mean? I'm sure it's not proper writing or rule of grammar but I see it frequently in sites where there's a high concentration of techies. Is it some carryover from coding? If so it's bad practice outside of code. Don't stain the standards.
edsheeran··on Certified Pre-owned Teslas for Less Than $40K USD
I've yet to see one Google/Waymo car doing 90mph on the highway with Lane Keeping Assist Level 3 Autopilot. Not ten, not five, or even one. Tesla has thousands of them doing it as you read this.

By using "global market" as the denominator, the author obfuscates the localities in countries where it adds a significant contribution.
edsheeran··on Want a big idea? Solve the Plastics Problem: disrupt the packaging industry
1. Recycled paper packaging 2. Origami folding techniques aided by AI 3. Shame gross user of plastics packaging 4. Awareness campaigns 5. Ban form factors that harm wildlife (encircling rings, entrapment shapes, etc.)
edsheeran··on If Data Visualization Is So Hot, Why Are People Leaving?
Says who? Ridiculous title. Visualizing data is as essential as computing data.
edsheeran··on Analysis of the United Airlines passenger removal incident
They could have used common sense. Be polite. Raise the ante. Negotiate. There was a manager/person in charge who didn't use common sense and then it escalated to more parties without common sense. Low EQ who only know threat of force and escalation of force.

edsheeran··on Why Japan’s Rail Workers Point at Things
It's a form of reinforcement. We've all seen flight attendants going through pointing drills during a safety briefing before takeoff. Pilots do this too when walking the ground for preflight checks.
edsheeran··on Why Japan’s Rail Workers Point at Things
I consider the article's title to be clickbaity. The fact of the story is why the workers point at things and there's an interesting explanation behind it. Saying they can't stop, however, isn't a true statement and would have been much better if they stated the real affirmative.
edsheeran··on Tencent buys 5% of Tesla
Sounds like confirmation bias, also one of life's mysteries.
