Can you give an example? For me I find that one shot prompts are pretty good it’s only when working with large codebases and complex, multi prompt workflows, that I find the real limitations of models
Its a really weird use of the word government to not actually refer to the government but to the executive and saying the “courts are outside of the government” makes it seem like they aren’t a part of the state.
Hasn’t it already been ruled by a court that LLM outputs are not subject to copyright? It opens a can of worms to say that LLM companies can dictate what their outputs are used for.
Every government has taxed its population, and past governments often used real violence to collect them. The level of taxes we see currently is abnormal and abusive imo, but taxing in general isn’t.
Houses have real value by themselves as you can live in one. But they have been treated like a Ponzi scheme recently which is why we are in such a mess with housing
I think Lina Khan said this first about AI companies and I agree with them both. Companies already have an obligation to make safe products and not commit crimes
Frankly I just don’t care that much, I hate Google and llms have mostly replaced the search but after work I want to spend time with family and do hobbies and degoogling is a nice to have that is nowhere near the top of my priorities list.
I always loved this as it seems to be a more modern way of interpreting the monad. Could it not be the case that all particles are actually just one thing that is not subject to time and that our reality is a snapshot of a matrix of its different potentials?
The AI revolution has led to everyone including US companies working to build their own GPUs there is zero proof or reason to think embargo’s are the cause. As I said, China was already working to build their own capacity
Yes it was a dumb thing to say and it doesn’t follow at all that restrictions on chips has “sped up” anything. China was always going to build their own chips and their pace is unrelated to a lack of nvidia chips.
The idea that China wasn’t working hard to build their own chips is a political talking point period. Nothing has been sped up here, China was always going to do this and the backlash you see from people who are against it is only proof that restrictions do hurt them
How much data is stored in the average aws data center? Assuming they do regularly back ups, it makes sense that recent data can’t be instantly backed up and so there will always be some data in transit or queued up no?
Would also be interested to hear why. Personally I used to watch serenityOS and only recently relooked into it to see the main guy was no longer leading it but working on ladybird full time
No it’s bad even for an individual why does someone I speak to need to ever have a transcript of our chat? I understand in a professional setting but if we’re just having a drink its weird
This just isn’t feasible it’s like wanting the ocean to be free of weapons. Space is most of what there is, nations that want to defend themselves will have to utilize space as a war fighting domain all we can do is put that off
I’ll have to see it to believe it. Artemis was slow but seemed to be making progress and now things have been shaken up again and plans totally changed. To me that seems like it’s not going to happen
People want to go to the moon, you could make your same argument for lots of things humans have done but at the end of the day science is not the reason 99% of people care about or want to colonize space. People have a desire to colonize space
