MaoMao AR turns a tiny 3D cat into an iPhone AR companion. Place him on a floor or desk, call him over, pet him, ask him to sit or lie down, resize him, and take AR photos. Inspired by my real cat Meimei. Free, no account, and no personal data collected.

echoscarrie··on Ask HN: How's Everyone Feeling Today?
I wonder if I’m the only one here who knows nothing about coding.
echoscarrie··on Ask HN: What are you working on? (August 2026)
I’m working on many things. Right now, I have a 3D cat app waiting for approval from Apple. Today, I want to share another project: a black hole website where you can throw in your thoughts. So far, it has swallowed 1,205 thoughts. I think it’s fun. Sometimes, when I feel upset, I write something down and drop it into the black hole. Afterwards, I feel a little lighter. Maybe you can try it too: https://blackhole.echoscarrie.com/
echoscarrie··on Show HN: Physically accurate black hole you can put in your room
The web-based real-time rendering is insanely smooth, and the visual quality is stunning!

Quick question: How close is this visualization to what a real black hole actually looks like in real life? I’m planning to show this to my daughter, so I'd love to tell her a bit of the science behind it! Super cool project!

On-device speech recognition on macOS is such a game changer for privacy and speed. Excited to test this out!
echoscarrie··on Show HN: Coast – Turn an iPhone into a control surface for a Mac
Love the clean concept! As a fellow Mac developer, I've always wanted a dedicated touch controller for quick workspace actions. How’s the latency over local Wi-Fi vs USB?
