Here's a carefully written article:
Bones can heal so it seems to follow (to me anyway) that perhaps teeth can heal too. Again, I hope this is true. I agree that conditions would have to be right in order for it to happen.
There are 'those people' that never get cavities. Would be interesting to know what's going on there.
At a stop light that has turned green all the cars do not go at once. They all proceed sequentially from first to last. If the line is long enough, and the light short enough, the last car cannot make it through. If all cars were to accelerate at the same time simultaneously like a train then many more cars would make it through the light. Of course this will never happen with human drivers.
I believe keeping a reasonable buffer in traffic helps prevent the above situation that I see occur at lights. The delay of this affect is repeated for each and every stop.
I think an excessive gap would make the flow worse in the way described in the article. I'm thinking there's a happy medium somewhere. Somewhere between the excessive gap of the one that wants to teach everyone the 'wisdom' of the gap and the hot-heads that want to drive over the person in front.

Then as I was using it and uploading pictures to it, the number of pictures I could load was reduced (eventually to one at a time per album) as it suggested I install special uploading software. I thought, "there's no way in hell I'm going to install anything on my machine just to upload pictures to some website and what kind of low-class outfit would ever require this let alone try to pressure me into it."
My impression of them has not changed one bit. I still have my account since I loath to imply a slight to my many contacts on facebook by leaving.
The idea of facebook is brilliant. It is so brilliant in fact that I think it prospers in spite of the fact that it is run by an absolute creep.
Passion is what you care about. If getting a job done right keeps you up at night and you go the extra mile to do, then you have passion. If you can let it go then you don't.
I think better advice is: if you have a passion, then try to find a way to make it profitable if it's not and get into a position that you can act on your passion so it's not a detriment.
Having passion in an environment where it is not wanted is an awful experience and get a person fired really quick in an employment situation.
When a passion is profitable and works with others then it builds a fire that feeds itself and can be very fulfilling.
Funny you mention pc-bsd. I lost the boot sector (perhaps) on my ssd in my win7 machine so this weekend I installed pc-bsd on the 'broken' ssd. During the install I was given a warning that something in my uefi was funny. Windows just failed to install with errors and no help to be found on the install cd (retail version).
So...I'm currently, as of 24 hours ago, using pc-bsd. I can't see most people going for it though. The kde desktop uninstalled itself randomly so I ended up installing gnome desktop and am using the classic version of gnome. It's going well now though. Actually really well, but I keep waiting for something bad to happen. If it behaves for a bit longer I might just switch.
There's an evil side to microsoft that I wouldn't miss but I do already miss liking microsoft. I've used them for a really long time. There's a lot of good design and engineering in there.
There should be a compass marking at the center of each roundabout as standard.

People here do want to be forced out of their shell though. If you don't require the slightest bit of affirmation in your personality, you'll do fine in Seattle. If not you'll most certainly get the blues. I do fine on some days and then sometimes it's just a chore.
I think the creationists are not necessarily dumb but I have no doubt that the evolutionists are not faithless.
I know all of this has been said over and over but I'll say it again and I know I will say it again over and over.
