Couldn't agree more. I think/hope the take of OP will be in the minority, but worried that a standardized language will arise that is optimized for AI (and thus not for humans). These AI proxy people are actively working on cutting humans out of the loop, to a point where we once we start to rely on AI there is no way back; mimicking the advent of the car in America: first it was a nice optional extra but now in many places in America you can't get around without one.

So if I split up a resource into two new resources, where should the old link point to? It seems to me never changing URLs could only ever fully work for applications where the datamodel never changes.

Interesting comparison. I remember watching a video on that. Landscape paintings, portraits, etc, was an art that has taken an enormous nosedive. We, as humans, have missed out on a lot of art because of the invention of the camera. On the other hand, the benefits of the camera need no elaboration. Currently AI had a lot of foot guns though, which I don't believe the camera had. I hope AI gets to that point too.
