Anecdotally, most cafes close at 5pm here. When I was in Melbourne earlier this year I found the 3/4pm close times a little inconvenient based on what I’m used to here.
On the flip side, very few places are open for coffee or breakfast out before 8am.
Over the years I've happened to be invited to discussions with policy makers in both The Netherlands (2013) and Australia (2016) and as far as I know they came up with similar policies. Further back I recall taking a look at Germany (~2012) and it was also onerous.
The main takeaway I had was that constructing a set of fair requirements that can be effectively assessed/enforced is nigh impossible. Entrepreneurs should be vocal and advocate for changes that improve the system but ultimately play the cards that are dealt and stay focussed on the company mission.
Feel free to contact our support or myself directly - dwight@getstream.io - if you need a hand.
I find it's got the right out of GTD without being too bloated and/or cumbersome to use.
These are certainly interesting forms of loyalty but they fall a long way short of capturing what motivates a person in their job.
I can't recall the source but at some point I found the following list and feel it's a better set of overall motivators:
- automony: the ability to work how and when you want to work in order to deliver an outcome
- mastery: excelling at a craft you enjoy and is respected by your peers
- purpose: feeling connected to your work and that it helps others in a meaningful way (I'd fit the 4 forms of loyalty here)
- fairness in compensation: the sense that you're compensated fairly with respect to colleagues, industry peers and beyond.
I see it all the time.
Also the .eu TLD, which is a country-TLD for the European Union, consider that the UK (still in the EU), along with Ireland and Malta have English as an official language [1].

It's a shame it's been left to languish.
Seems like this should be a feature of papercall.io which seemingly has a more obvious path to sustainable revenue.
That'll be a good way to decide whether to keep trying to sell to them, what to change etc.
If you've exhausted that you may look at other applications for the technology.

The countries to which the bans apply are all majority Muslim, so the exemption would apply to non-Muslims.
That'll be the case regardless of whether you've been eligible for ESTAs or had to obtain visas via embassies in the past.
The "banned from ESTA" phrasing had me scratching my head.
I know that one can be ineligible for an ESTA. For example, if you've made a trip to Iran. However even if ineligible for an ESTA, a person can still go to a US embassy and apply for a regular visa, just like folks in non-ESTA countries.
Most certainly use Python3 for any new projects.

I thought it worth clarifying for people like those I regularly meet who aren't aware of the LP role in the industry. There's a misconception that the VCs are just investing their own money.
Although don't forget the VC funds' lending partners are often pension funds and other traditional investment vehicles that you or I might use.
Now there is a global brand to anchor to and make this news. If it were Acme Cabs in Middle of Nowhere this story wouldn't run.
On the other hand it is useful to consider how a company with Uber's scale could/should do a better job of reducing the frequency that these events occur. They'll unfortunately never be fully eradicated but you'd expect there's an opportunity for continual improvement.
How do new customers over look that to save a couple bucks per year? How do existing customers ignore it because it'll take some time/effort/cost to make the change?
