as for who is this for, we obviously didn't make it clear. Our goal is to help folks become rich by choosing the right fast-growing startup to work for. that's why we think people would want to pay, and this is what we can do 10x better than anyone else.

ie, if you asked me right now which startup you should join to make tons of money in a few years, I would tell you the top 5 right ones for you. We want to productize that.

it's been posted once 4 months ago, when this was an entirely different product. We used much of the feedback from the last post to put our heads down and build a better product for the community here.

Yeah the raw data thing is something our team seriously talked about as a "why is an excel sheet more valuable than our product rn?" It's not right, but it gives us an idea of the right direction.

As for value -- yes, this came up a lot and we're aggressively tackling this. Our beachhead is folks who want to make loads of money at a fast-growing startup but don't know how to pick the right one. We're changing a few things in the product to make this more clear + easier to actually do.

we tried the recruitment model a few mos ago but thought we could push the boundaries a lot more with aggregation + technology -- it got us REALLY excited.

We aggregate jobs (1k/week rn, 15k/week soon) so we don’t need to have the startups on our platform. Go apply directly on their site.

Also, our comp estimator tool gives you primary data from tons of other employees at very similar companies (location, $ raised, industry, etc). More accurate than something self-reported like Glassdoor. The goal is for you to be able to use this in salary negotiation. Actively working on this

edit: interesting to hear the culture thing -- our hypothesis was raw data would be more important to sr, whereas "culture" is kinda hard to define -- like what are people saying on Blind, Glassdoor, etc? I feel like you can only get a real feel for culture on interviews + talking to employees/investors. But yeah, exciting plans there

what if you had access to just the data -- like a spreadsheet? and you could build your own search? also kind of don't like the search and want to rip it up

give us 2 weeks -- we didn't have the bandwidth to add infosec, IT + data. tons of them in our queue!

I run a job platform. This scam is pervasive, especially with contract work. We've had to get really good at recognizing patterns because their covers are really good (even faking passports and work history).

Many of the big contract platforms are dealing with this too. Hiring managers are getting tired of it and are 1) not hiring as many contract workers and 2) not using platforms to hire those workers.

Unfortunately, this hurts small companies more since their hiring practices are so lax and there's a crop of new ones every few months.

If co's want to find candidates, we look for opted-in users who v closely fit their req's and make direct, double-opt-in intros right now. All parties seem to love this method :)
