Break in, bash owner about with a wrench, get coins. <Insert xkcd>
"AI for me, not for thee" kind of thing.

But I wanted decent deployments. Hosting a image repository cost 3-4x of the server. Sending over the container image took over an hour due to large image processing python dependencies.
Solution? Had a think and a chat with Claude code, now I have blue-green deployments where I just upload the code which takes 5 seconds, everything is then run by systemd. I looked at the various PaaSes but they ran up to $40/month with compute+database etc.
I would probably never have built this myself. I'd have gotten bored 1/3 through. Now it's working like a charm.
Is it enterprise grade? Gods no. Is it good enough? Yes.
With our(northern Europe) crashing fertility rate there's now also discussions about adding on "when the woman is 25 this happens and you're this likely to get pregnant, at 30 it's like this...", just so that people can plan and try for the family they want. If one wants 3 kids and don't want IVF you should apparently start around when the woman is 25-28 or something like that?
But who's financially secure at 25?
E.g three weeks ago nvidia pushed bad drivers which broke my desktop after a reboot and I had to swap display (ctrl-alt-f3 etc), I never got into gnome at all, and roll back to an earlier version. Automatic rollback of bad drivers would have saved this.
Are Radeon drivers less shit?
I'm guessing this is kind of a "It's not a problem until it's a crisis" situation? So far other central banks haven't begun selling treasuries, they've just stopped buying them. But once one starts selling it could become self reinforcing?
What could replace it? There doesn't seem to be any new hegemonic power on the same level. Could we enter a world where all central banks hold a mix of currencies and nobody benefits from being the reserve?
1) TrickTrapper.
Backwards compatible verified phone calls. Android version is in testing with friends.
2) Katalib.
We have about 1600 books or so at home, there's no chance I'm going to scan ISBN codes of all of these. I've tried four times and got way too bored after the first 100-200. The solution? Take a photo of the bookshelf, send to Claude for text parsing and series information. Then some UI etc around that.
It's working, I just need to start testing it myself and a few friends have also asked for access.
I've been trying to think of what other meaning they could have gone for but got nothing. Stoo lap? Sto olap?
It had the king himself on the board. The company value represented a decent fraction of the national gdp at the time. All without actually never producing anything of actual value. It was just bribes and speculation all the way through. It's wild.

Extra History did a more easily digestible series, which was how I learned about it in the first place. https://youtu.be/k1kndKWJKB8
We're using Google Meet at work and the automatic transcription is completely useless for me, it's not even remotely close. Works quite well for my colleagues.
Wonder what's different, it seems people's experience differ quite a lot.
Location: Sweden
Remote: Yes, but EU only due to Apple restrictions.
I'm looking for an iOS developer to help me develop the iOS app to my existing android app. It's going to be a default dialer app and development of those can only happen on devices registered in the EU, hence the restriction under remote. I've got a start but I don't have the time to fix both android and backend and iOS.

If you have a friend who is encountering the performance problems enable profiling report export and ask them to send that over to you. Hopefully that'll show you what is taking so many cycles.
Is there any way to check this other than experiment?
My "solution" so far has been to not buy cheap cables and just hope I get quality in return.
First the forms were incredibly bad for a new Swedish user. Then there turned out to be some kind of sync issue between account creation and when it can be used, but the error message did not reflect that in any way whatsoever. The next day the same thing worked.
On the one hand they have a support chat to contact and it's great, just being able to contact an actual person was a shock. On the other hand support couldn't help with my problem and I would not recommend the onboarding experience to anyone.
I'm never buying a mac again if I can avoid it.
Communally I'm worried.
I'm worried the AI valuations bubble will collapse, pull the mag7 with it, that'll pull the us stock market with it considering they represent the vast majority of the value gain over the last years. That in turn will pull the dollar with it, even more than today. It'll make 2007 look like a picnic.
I'm worried about demographics vs retirement. I doubt retirement will be a thing for the children my generation has, I'm middle age now. I might get to retire because I've been lucky. Also related worries about the welfare state model overall.
I'm worried that Russia won't collapse quickly enough due to Chinese backing and pull us, northern europe, with it. They won't stop until someone makes them stop.
I'm worried about all the men struggling to find their place in society, the lack of constructive role models for young men and the right wing nazis happily channeling it.
I'm worried about climate change, it's basically gone of the agenda but that doesn't mean the problem has gone away. The chance of the gulf stream collapsing seems to increase for every new model they release.
There used to be people selling theirs on the supernote reddit, did that stop? I haven't been active for a few years.
