You can adjust brightness by swiping from the right edge to bring out the notification bar (called action center) and then tap the brightness tile to switch through five modes of brightness.

It's not a slider but it does the job well.

That said overall the tablet experience on Windows 10 is not ready for prime time. I get weirdness with the on-screen keyboard as well as quirks with Explorer and so on.

Yeah, orange_county is right: you're not going to find much better down here either. If you're not in Santa Monica paying bay area rent for a rundown shack you're going to make less the further inland you go, and the rents don't get much cheaper.

Haven't seen it posted here yet but wee-slack [0] works wonders if you're not afraid of using weechat.

I'm looking at an average CPU usage of 2% and memory usage of ~30MB for three IRC networks and three different Slack teams.

Is there anything noteworthy under the hood that would compel power users to upgrade? None of the features listed on Apple.com look like things that would be useful from my perspective.
