dsun179··on Show HN: Offline-First Personal Kanban
Or RxDB https://rxdb.info/ which also supports edits on multiple tabs.
dsun179··on Twitter fined ~$550k over a data breach in Ireland’s first major GDPR decision
550k is a joke. The EU law is a joke.
dsun179··on The Truth About Starting a Startup
I see many reasons why this could be a good option. For example if you moved to SV from far away and have no social boundings.
dsun179··on Libgen Storage Decentralization on IPFS
Yes, this is still the case. For a file which is on exactly one other computer, you have about 45 seconds lookup time before the download can start.
dsun179··on Angular 11
Thank you for the insights. Wouldnt it be possible to add an @AsyncInput decorator, without ever touching the ng/core? Same could be done for @AsyncOutput, with observables instead of event-emitters.
dsun179··on WebBundles are built for content-addressable networks
Isnt that already possible with mhtml?

dsun179··on How satellite ‘megaconstellations’ will photobomb astronomy images
Sattelites appear way faster then what you expect from a moving star or a plane.
dsun179··on Chromium devs want the browser to talk to devices, computers directly
I think PWA's were pushed because the google cannot crawl native applications for its search engine.
dsun179··on Node Modules at War: Why CommonJS and ES Modules Can’t Get Along
The reason is not correct. Nodejs cache the require lot and so circular dependencies can work without returning half finished loads.
dsun179··on Google to partner with BankMobile to offer digital bank accounts
Wow, a bank account where I cannot reach a real human when I have problems.
dsun179··on “Zombie cicadas” infected with mind-controlling fungus return to West Virginia
Scrolljacking, history hacking, background ads play with sound. What a shit of a website.
dsun179··on The Case Against OOP Is Wildly Overstated
I think we should publish these articles on github as readme. Then people can even add stuff and fix typos.
dsun179··on Tech firms begin to abandon Hong Kong because of security law
Can we somehow stop posting sites that hijack the browser history?
dsun179··on Any claim without a URI should be treated as suspicious
Or machine learning?
dsun179··on Any claim without a URI should be treated as suspicious
I do not think so. Most of my ipfs bookmarks from 2 years ago are offline now, everything gone because no peer has the content.
dsun179··on Low-Background Steel
Well there is much known fact about how tabacco absords radiating material. But until now I have not found anything about how that changed during the ages. But simple logic tells me there must have been an affect on how dangerous smoking is.
dsun179··on Low-Background Steel
Since tabacco gets its cancer making polonium from the air, I wonder if smoking got riskier because of the nuklear testing.
dsun179··on Boy, 16, was given estrogen at L.A. juvenile hall, suit says
I remember when I had "strange behaviors" as young boy. Some times later i was circumcised. 30 years later I still suffer from it.

I want to get kids soon. I hope they get a strange as I was. Stupid, funny, dangerous.

dsun179··on Full Deno Tutorial
Have you tried ts-node? You do not need webpack for a nodejs project. Also package management is not really "solved" by deno I think.
dsun179··on [dead]
Just delete twitter, than you do not have to read this garbage. Same for other social media.
dsun179··on Way to keep your cool running a Raspberry Pi 4 (2019)
I had a similar problem. For me the reason was that I used a cheap charger with too less power.
dsun179··on “What Did You Do?” – Alexis Ohanian Resigns from Reddit's Board
These days it feels like the whole world is broken and people break it even more by catching the falling knife.
dsun179··on Manned fighter to face autonomous drone next year
Yes. Hijacked on chrome android.
dsun179··on Tink – Cryptographic APIs that are secure, easy to use correctly
Or tink.de a smart home store. I do not think there are any 4 letter words that do not clash with a company.
dsun179··on ChromeGalvanizer – Harden your browser against extension backdoors and exploits
This sounds great, I will try. Is it somehow possible to restrict the internet access of a single extension? For example I have an add-http-header extension that has no reason to create connection to an outside server.
dsun179··on Hyperdrive v10 – a peer-to-peer filesystem
Wow. What a way to describe the tradeoff of a programming language. No, thanks
dsun179··on I Spent $6M on Google Ads Last Year
Same here. Legend says your clicks become cheaper after spending $6M.
dsun179··on CouchDB 2.1.0
Has anyone tried out rxdb on the client with couchdb as server? I'm affraid mostly about the scaling issues when you sync with many clients
dsun179··on Nearby Connections 2.0: offline high bandwidth peer to peer device communication
I hate google for things like this. "Dont be evil" they said. But why do they hate freedom?
dsun179··on IEEE Spectrum 2017 Top Programming Languages
This list is a biased joke. The "12 metrics from 10 carefully chosen online sources" must be very bad chosen.
