Great book to understand Human evolution
Below is excerpt from the mail that I received from them today.

We know you’re more concerned than ever about protecting your cash — and the safety of your deposits is our top priority. That’s why we’ve continuously worked with our partner banks1 to offer additional FDIC insurance — first to $1M, then to $3M.
Now, we’ve gone a step further. By Monday, you will have access to up to $5M in FDIC insurance — 20x the per bank limit.
The way Mercury is able to offer customers this expanded FDIC coverage is through our partner banks’ sweep networks, which spread customer deposits across a network of established FDIC-insured program banks, including Goldman Sachs, Morgan Stanley, and Wells Fargo. In addition to the increased coverage, these sweep networks also protect your deposits by holding cash in multiple places, which limits the risk of any single point of failure.
To protect funds beyond your insured balance, Mercury Vault is automatically enabled on all accounts to monitor cash and provide suggestions on how to manage bank risk. For example, Vault can help you move deposits above the $5M FDIC insurance cap to a money market fund (99.5% invested in U.S. government-backed securities and held 100% in your name) through Mercury Treasury.
- We had off shore accounts (in UK & India) & were actually considering to move everything to SVB. Good that we didn't.
- Moving money out of SVB? Yes. But not in a hurry as it was looking to be the case just 10 hours ago
The article above discusses few options. Wanted to know in general what startup community does in silicon valley?
GitHub CoPilot : I come from embedded engineering background, but now working in web tech space. CoPilot helps as a very good assistant when I am working with TypeScript. Essentially lesser number of lookups now to Google & StackOverflow
Content creation : I take help of ChatGPT to give me some pointers when I am about to write on a topic / blog post. For tech articles, it's a good help. Helps correct grammar, change content to professional tone.
> Because gpt-3.5-turbo performs at a similar capability to text-davinci-003 but at 10% the price per token, we recommend gpt-3.5-turbo for most use cases.
Is capability to support trained models only additional advantage of da-vinci-003?

Saw this recently - Chatbot Character.ai valued at $1bn in Andreessen-led funding round https://www.ft.com/content/b230eb4c-ed53-45ff-8b64-c286a4b98...
But I strongly feel, its GPT powered native apps that will drive the market forward. We will definitely see lot of adoptions coming forward.

Every new generation will move away from their father generation applications. May be younger folks on HN will be able to answer that query better.
