Plastic Lilly sticks
Plastic tie-wraps
Basically anything that someone might chew on!
Although, licorice roots are okay to chew on... I guess. :-)
All students are measured on whether they achieve the correct outcome - you get marked down for each incomplete or inaccurate outcome of the assignment.
Marking is therefore made easier for the professors etc if everyone turns in roughly the same thing with the desired outcome
If you go and get too creative, you make it far harder for the professors to mark your assignment because you end up masking the desired outcome in superfluous fluff that they resent having to wade through.
Your thesis is the time to be a pioneer and demonstrate your ability.
All assignments should be completed with as little effort as possible that achives the desired outcome.
Easy to mark, and easy to gain the maximum grade. Anything extra is a complete waste of time and effort for all involved.
I learnt that the hard way initially, until I worked it out.
You will have plenty of opportunity to be excellent after you get your grades - do it the easy way, then test yourself after in the real world. Although, even the real world usually has a pretty simple brief
If you want to do it your way, the only guaranteed way to do so is to ceate your own project on your own time.

uBlockOrigin may also work similarly with noScript - I've not checked.
Might be worth asking on the NewPipe repo on github how they avoid the ads on the server side.
How about a playground or park, should you be a certain age to use one, do you need to prove identity to do so also?
Censorship by way of restriction of resources. A cheap shot that will cost dearly in many ways, and far into the future - perhaps this is the kind of bill that guarantees an explosion of revolt in the future.
John Carpenter's "They Live" anyone?
I'm confused, did I miss something?
Is this not just another way for the government to get a tighter grip on censorship, I.e. to control what the people have the ability to see, or to see only what the government provide? Seems like another pathway to those 1984 shenanigans.
Is the next step to impose MITM proxies that manipulate everything see in realtime.
In the UK its priority to the right, meaning if there's something coming around the roundabout, you must/should wait... Which only works of there is a gap in the flow of traffic big enough for you to jump into...
Don't worry USA, you'll soon regret your decision to introduce roundabouts.
Stick with your sensible "right on red" logic, and your sweeping circular on/off ramps (yeah, you and Canada have plenty of space to do those) - they are genius for maintaining traffic flow (not so convinced about the traffic lights leading onto the freeway though at rush hour times!)
If you fancy a giggle of what mayhem roundabouts can cause, try searching for "spaghetti junction" near Birmingham England, or "the magic roundabout" of Swindon England fame - they are priceless!
Enjoy! ;-)
Our skin is trying its damnedest to keep itself in balance and all people are doing is stressing it out, no wonder people end up smelling when the skin is over compensating due to being stripped of all its natural protective oils. Not to mention all the sugar and refined carbohydrates people consume - their body is screaming with inflammation, when all it wants is balance from a good source of healthy nutrition. But we humans know best right... sigh
The UK just passed the Online Safety Bill and the intent is to zuck us by bypassing encryption via client side scanning.
But we can fight back with Linux?
The seas also get "polluted" by underwater volcanic vents, amongst other natural things, constantly...
It makes no sense to stand over a fire and inhale the smoke, or to drink the water from too close to those vents, but are we really trying to change the nature of the planet?
I mean, who's going to stop the sand from the Sahara Desert making it's way over to the UK for everything that breaths air to breath in, not to mention leaving a layer of red dust everywhere, especially on vehicles and the like, caught by the dew that happens naturally when the temperature changes.
Shouldn't the focus be more on what industry is doing to the air and water and soil, and what we seem to be inadvertently supporting with the present lifestyle?
A diet that contains a high nutritional content will prevent you from over-eating due to satiety signals (unless you have a hormone issue) rather than eating to the point of feeling "stuffed" - if someone is eating to the point of feeling "stuffed" then it would suggest that they are not eating food with a high nutritional content, or that they have some disorder that is interfering with their normal eating process.
If you look to the animal kingdom, the lion kills the zebra, feeds then walks away, the next in line feeds, then walks away, etc, etc... no animal eats until they are "stuffed" - if they did then they would become another animals prey because they are too "stuffed" to move!
No wonder some countries consider it rude to clear your plate of food. (too bad the Brits do this the other way around!) lol
It never ceases to amaze me that we think that we know better, and yet the human body, as with other animals etc, have been around for quite some time now. Even if we had all the data from the past that we think is important now, we still wouldn't know better.
There was a post the other day regarding "The prosecutors fallacy" that might fit well with this sort of subject matter.

Does this change over time also?
"We compiled measurements of total energy expenditure (TEE) and basal metabolic rate (BMR) from human endurance events and added new data from adults running ~250 km/week for 20 weeks in a transcontinental race. For events lasting 0.5 to 250+ days, SusMS decreases curvilinearly with event duration, plateauing below 3× BMR. This relationship differs from that of shorter events (e.g., marathons). Incorporating data from overfeeding studies, we find evidence for an alimentary energy supply limit in humans of ~2.5× BMR; greater expenditure requires drawing down the body’s energy stores. Transcontinental race data suggest that humans can partially reduce TEE during long events to extend endurance."
