Hey @amie734jj as frankbreetz mentions below, there is a list of remote in tech companies. They linked to the GH repo but there is a front-end - https://remoteintech.company

Remote In Tech is a list of companies who hire remote people. This started as a GitHub repository and is now going to be much more.

A Hacktoberfest project

I think this is a great idea, connecting individuals for those gigs that you feel some business will overcharge for, nice one!

Having a 2 second look at the demo, it looks like a lot of useful kit. But what makes this different to other software, or indeed compared to Shopify and the like?

Let's hope this isn't the new Dreamweaver!

but isn't what's being asked? If the box is checked by default, then public computers will have a whole list of email address and logins to steal

did you click or ctrl / cmd click?

right click open in new tab takes you to the original link. So this must be done in session or something and the alt-open in next tab take the plain link URL?

I thought decorum dictated that an aged post should have the year in brackets or something similar! A lot has changed in the last 8 & half years.

Good find! they're awesome :) self-Christmas present I think :)

And like that, they're gone.

ah! I thought he meant "reply".

repl.

I'm such a programming n00b.

Good catch. Wonder if pg was doing something similar

How do you mean?

i linked the screenshot as the source on my tumblr post.

Oh FFS Doug. Just realised what you did there Ryan. face palm

Did you get Biz news Ryan or its that 'shopped?

Very odd, Biz and Ev.

sorry, I mean't why it would be renamed, not that it had been. Like when pg puts the blackbar at the top for a death, maybe this was related to something.

So glad I'm not the only one. Been wracking my brain trying to think why it'd have a rename, even for a day.

Wow, Myabe it depends on the business but I used to work in customer service in a retail company's call centre and we used to send out letters with our own names on them.

The icon looks practically idential to PlainText, the text editor for iPad but with a thin black bar top & bottom.

Agree, FB really does have an edge on this but then again, what Twitter & Tumblr have above FB for me is the discovery of new content / new "friends".

it depends on what tags I use, iPad is a popular one obviously.

Also, soemtimes I'll see a like of an ancient post with no rhyme to why. I'll agree though that a good percentage of likes / reblogs are spam / bots. They also often have ads on the blog so whoever is running it will get credit when you visit the blog to see who just liked / followed / reblogged you.

I did wonder when I saw the XCode screenshots & such. Homebrew whilst a huge help I'm sure, is just to make things _a bit_ easier.

I'm on Ubunutu & know its a lot "easier" than that

umm where?

Amazingly IE7 on XP (work PC) handled that like a trooper! Good job
