should my business depend on some weekend projects posted on github?
Javascript is a scripting language and on server side it should be used like this.. scripting language, small and independent pieces of code, not a 100kloc+ "OOP" clusterfuck :)
ps. i'm not cool enough to use notepad, vim etc.
look at web server logs, they have no schema, each line is not related with others, yet we are able to analyze logs
What's the point of having schema in database then?
<div id="data" class="{json: 'x'}"/>
you can mix actual classes with JSON, just put JSON at the end:
<div class="header inline {json: 'x'}"/>
CSS selectors will work just fine
when you make new website today using modern tools, page load should be below 1 second,
anyway, what if my hosting provider won't let me run Solr or any other java software?
that's a bad news for users of all those PHP/RoR/Django/node etc. apps, who will never get proper on site search functionality. majority of lazy devs won't go for Solr-like solution
if you like coding in text editor(vim, notepad etc.) and debugging with println`s, meteor is for you :)
Powerful language full of features yet programmers are scared to use most of them.
