dmzxnico··on ASML says it sold 'absolutely nothing' in Europe in 2026
It makes sense since the AI in Europe is being regulated to the neck and investments in data centers, chip factories are much more expensive and difficult to operate.

There's a lot more market opportunities in China and USA...

dmzxnico··on OpenAI agents tried to bruteforce a UN website's API fields
I think that they really should force AI Labs to publish what the agents do. All the industry can learn from it and protect against it.

Im sure a lot more happens under the hood that we don't know about and I'd be very curious to see where agents ran by those labs can go :)

dmzxnico··on Bluesky Trademarks ATProto
Interesting, I believe that's a pretty good move from them.
dmzxnico··on The Anti-Mac User Interface (1996)
Great post, thanks for sharing.
dmzxnico··on Stripe and Advent have made a joint offer to acquire PayPal – sources
they should kill paypal
dmzxnico··on Linux on Older Hardware: The Complete Revival Guide
Agree with you.

Linux itself is a good OS, even better when you have an old machine to "revive". But when even Linux can't run properly, time ditch it...

dmzxnico··on Previewing GPT‑5.6 Sol: a next-generation model
I saw they are placing this model above Mythos and Fable. Interesting to see how good it's going to compare.

I'd really like to see other companies like Chinese ones compete at this level.

Pricing on GPT 5.5 is already super high and having more competition can only help :)

dmzxnico··on We trained a real-time world model for $2k with Minecraft mod revenue
This is a great idea. In which cases do you see using this in production for games?
dmzxnico··on We know the official GTA 6 price – it's expensive, but not too bad
For a game that big, and seeing the price of games going up the last years, I was expecting it to be 100+, good surprise!
dmzxnico··on GLM 5.2 Is Out
GLM 5.2 is really good. I tried it many times on live projects and it did the job nicely.
dmzxnico··on AI coding at home without going broke
I use Claude 100$ + Codex 20$. That's a lot already and I rarely hit my quota before it resets, usually right on time.

Some times I also get OpenCode Go just to get access to chinese models as an extra for new projects I don't really care about, fun ones.

That's way cheaper than hiring a dev anyways.

dmzxnico··on AI coding at home without going broke
It's amazing at reverse, see what they do on GTA San Andreas now, they started the reverse before AI existed, since AI is in their hands, reversed sped up so much that they can finally understand the game deeper, create bigger mods, added Vice City inside the game in an Arcade, they created specific tools made with AI to convert GTA 5 models to GTA SA. Pretty crazy and great.
dmzxnico··on GLM 5.2 Is Out
Have you tried it yet? How is it going?
dmzxnico··on Claude Fable 5 vs. GPT-5.5: Better Planning, Similar Execution
I felt Opus went straight to the point, less than GPT 5.5 though. Fable was clearly above that. Just went to work like a workaholic. Shame it's already off the list.
dmzxnico··on Pirates, a naval warfare game inspired by Sid Meier's Pirates
It's cute! Push it deeper
dmzxnico··on Show HN: macOS menu bar gauges for your Claude Code quota
OpenUsage is really nice for this kind of things.
dmzxnico··on The iPhone's Last Stand?
iPhone will always lead as long as iOS is the standard. To be honest, most companies do good phone frames. But they all run on Android.

Apple has been smart by keeping iOS only for them and not work with partners as Android does, it helps keeping it optimized.

If someone could do the same, it'd be a game changer in the next 10 years.

dmzxnico··on WWDC 2026: Apple is Folding
I'm happy they finally stop supporting Intel macs as of macOS 27
dmzxnico··on If Claude Fable stops helping you, you'll never know
There are some limitations on how to make chips smaller. Just as there are limitations on how we can train AI with our current training capacities.

We just need to find a better way to train AI to develop deeper. Although, might not be easy.

dmzxnico··on What it feels like to work with Mythos
Probably just a model that was trained on high code bases, tuned to find security breaches and bugs by being "smart" enough to actually test the code by itself / manually going through the app / website feels easy for Fable so Mythos is just a better version.
dmzxnico··on Show HN: NoSuggest – Watch YouTube without the recommendation algorithm
Cool idea. Is this allowed from T&C of YouTube? Is it also removing ads / autoplay?
dmzxnico··on Launch HN: Transload (YC P26) – Measuring freight items with CCTV
Looks nice, I can see many nice things to use this kind of system, especially for an upcoming project of mine for a coffee shop.
